I knew Devon personally, I had the pleasure of getting to know him over the last few months as he became our new maintenance man at our apartment complex and he did a great job but none of that really matters, Devon ultimately was a great man at heart he would always say hi to my wife and son when they went on walks and would let my son look at his motorcycles he was an amazing person. I didn’t know you very well but the time I did get to know you, you made an impact on mine and my families lives. LONG BEACH - The Medical Examiner’s office Monday released the name of a motorcyclist killed in a collision involving another motorcycle in Long Beach on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:55pm. “The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Harley-Davidson was traveling eastbound Artesia Boulevard directly next to a 2005 Harley-Davidson,” police said in a statement. “The two motorcycles collided, which then caused the male rider of the 2004 Harley Davidson to collide with a parked vehicle on Artesia Boulevard,” the police statement said. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Speed, distracted driving or impaired driving are not believed to be factors in this collision. I probably would have ridden my own bike with him if that hadn’t happened. Some of his friends never rode again. It’s was a big thing effected the whole town he was very popular, massive funeral, a big loss not just to me and my family. Sorry to rabbit on, I feel for you and every rider out there. I'm 62, owned around 15 motorcycles up till 2004. Gave them up cause too many Disrespectful Idiots on the roads.Now with cell phones and drugs galore. Better to be on 4 wheels. Parents don't let your kids get motorcycles. You might be burying them . I know, cause I lost a brother 37 yrs ago on a motorcycle. It's Very Deadly on the roads today. Suicidal in my opinion.

This is why the United States needs a world class public (rail) transportation system. Too many people making mistakes on the road because driving is the ONLY stupid option other than walking and biking. Who the hell wants to bike or walk miles in bad weather or adverse conditions? On top of that deal with other stupid car drivers.

My condolences and prayers for healing for the family. I'm too scared now to ride a motorcycle because everybody is steering towards the motorcycle. Everybody wants to play Grand theft Auto v. Where they kill a motorcycle rider on purpose and then see if they can get away with it with no charges. I’ve been around motorcycle racing all my life,(to a world level)and I can’t grasp the concept of these people street racing and posting their videos!!!!! Why don’t they just join a racing club, that’s on a closed circuit, with medical professionals on hand,and actually learn how to do some “real racing” real training,and really fast fun. It doesn’t look like it was high-speed, so I thought it might be brain injury from not wearing a helmet, but then I saw the helmet by the dead guy - and a real helmet not one of those stupid brain buckets - so maybe cardiac arrest and takes the other bike out as he goes down?
