I worked for an Indian subsidiary company in Houston for several years. All of our management came from the Mumbai facility and lived in 2 or 3 houses all side-by-side, a couple of which brought their wives. They and their wives would make tons of great Indian food and bring it to work with them so I got to try a lot of different stuff which was great. It was definitely a unique experience, especially when they did their annual company feast where they brought in Hindu priests to bless the CNC machines and the facility. Plus, we got to introduce them to some amazing Texas barbecue (obviously not any beef lol)

It's not unique to Hindus to take blessings of the Priests and also decorating the new Equipment when it's used for the first time. It's the culture of the land.

India is magical and full of surprises. You never get what you expected to get or came for. You always get something different, but more interesting and magical. Sonny's food adventures remind me of this quote: "There are three trips you take to India: the one you think you’re going to have - that you plan for; the one you actually have; and the one you live through once you go back home.” - Erin Reese. Sonny was expecting a salad crepe, and he ended up getting a dosa cone dipped in a mesmerizing and mysterious mash. The same with that dessert. The result is always more than the sum of its parts.

Another amazing fun food video. I have an advice or suggestion for you. Sonny I love your content, but I feel all your current videos including this one, is a bit fast. I have been following you for a long time, and I really loved the pace of your Thai food adventure, India Series 1, Japan series, Korea, Vietnam series. Those were simply perfect, it gave the audience time to see the food, culture, the location, and people. This is my personal opinion as an audience. You took it slowly, interacted with people, showed us the location more, your surroundings and also you din speak too fast, used more slow motions and angles. Your current videos are also awesome, but I feel, too much content is squeezed within a very short time, which automatically makes it very fast. So, I'd request you to consider the editing and shooting styles, which you did in your previous series. Miss the Sonny jokes too. :) :) :)

For example, in this video, I'd like to point out a few specific things (Once again, it's my personal opinion, and I love your videos anyway, so I hope you take it sportingly :D 1) Introduction : In your previous series.... at the start there was Bird's eye view shot of the location (name of city written in bold white), which added to the broader prospect, then slowly narrowing it down, the roads, traffic, building shots, people n activities shot, and finally Sonny pop out.... ''HELLO!!!" ... 2) When you talked about your old videos or experiences, previously You used '' Let's get teleported to ... ''... That style looked more interesting... Example 0:27 mark... a glitch or black and white or old film transition would have highlighted that ''recap'' portion 3) 0:36 : Ice cream Drum rolling in Slow Motion (in that way , we can see more colours and texture of food slowly, giving time to brain to register what's going on) 4) 3:10 : You could have shown the Parantha deep frying in slow motion and given it a couple seconds extra... bubbling oil, changing colour of food being fried... makes it more interesting 5) 3:35 : Food dipping close up shot... Parantha inside more close ups and angles... Slow motion... 6) 6:52 : More time with monkeys pleassse... more monkey interaction 7) 7:13 : Camera moving, not looking nice 8) 7:33 : Dosa Making slow motion , slow mo-close up of grated cheese raining down on dosa, 90 Degree angle shot... top shot of Dosa... 9) 10:36 : Could have added the Slow breaking the Dosa shot, Dipping it in dosa curry in slow mo - to show the texture of the curry in close up... 10) 9:00 and 10:41; 0:11 n 5:20 n 14:33.... Why repeat same shots ?? 11) 13:37 : Syrup pouring : Slow motion and close up pls. Make it more detail oriented 12) You could have spoken to the locals and shop owners more like in your India series 1... interaction with people gives deeper insight I totally love your videos, and all the points I have highlighted is what I have learned from your old videos. Even if you keep the video the way it is, it is awesome anyway... but If you compare this with an older video of BEFRS (Thailand, Japan, India 1, Vietnam, Iran ) , I'd give those a 10/10 and the current ones or this one a 8-9/10 .. so it's basically I have learned all this techniques and styles from you at one point and now sharing those back with you again... :) :) :) Looking forward to the next release :D :D :D Love you Sonny, Love BEFRS

I remember there was this roller ice cream shop in my town that used Fanta instead of the rose syrup and basically used all kinds of citrus and tropical fruits. I still crave for the kind of flavour

Mate come to Northeast India….start with Assam where we eat escargots, Silk Worms, mud crabs 🦀, eels, Pork, Duck 🦆….so many varieties but hardly any foreign food vlogger has showcased our cuisine.
