Ao Sane Beach in Phuket, Thailand is a hidden gem for snorkeling. While it's no longer a secret, you won't find a lot of people around. You can go snorkeling right off the beach and rocks, and you'll see many colorful fish and many colorful strange looking jellyfish. I think I counted at least five different types of bizarre looking jellyfish. Special thanks to Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA.(www.aquariumofpacific.org), the Monterey Bay Aquarium (www.montereybayaquarium.org) in Monterey, CA. and the Seattle Aquarium (www.seattleaquarium.org) in Seattle, Washington, for helping me identify the fish and jellyfish!
