seeing transformice mentioned gave me WHIPLASH. i worked on cosmetics for the game in 2019/2020, and actually made the octoling hairstyle! none of the items are officially endorsed by their source material, and I remember lots of people saying the team was asking for a lawsuit. the art director meli would just look through player submissions for item ideas every other week or so and vectorize them in the game's art style and boom, they were in the game. it was volunteered work as well, I didn't get paid as I was 15 when I did the majority of my work for the game.

Here’s a (semi) bizzare crossover. To promote the final fest there was a splatoon theme added to Tetris 99. The weird part is none of the music in the theme was from splatoon 2. It was all splatoon 1 music

And not only that, but the Splatoon theme in Tetris 99 also contains...Super Mario Bros. sprites for some reason. And it's not even the blooper lol, that would at least make some sense especially since it does have a cameo in Splatoon 1, but no it's the SPINY sprite from Mario 1 instead lol. Also the whole Tetris Maximus cup or whatever it was called was Splatoon themed, and took place in the days leading up to the Final Fest, so it was like the Final Fest was being celebrated across TWO games which was pretty cool. Also I now permanently associate Ink or Sink with Tetris rather than Splatoon XD.

Weapon Ideas: Heavy Slosher- Is a hamper and works like the tri stringer bursting projectiles but loke a slosher like throwing clothes and the clothes burst A new weapon type- Is a string attached to a frisbee, i light weight could use yoyo. It is like the splatana animation but has an arch like the explosher curve but horrizontally since it is a frabee.

2:30 I am so sorry, but that is literally a flat-out FLASE statement. You have completely forgotten about the 7-Eleven gear (which granted, are just red or green recolors of the iconic White V-Neck tee, alongside brown and grey recolors of the FA-01 Jacket) and ALLLLLLLLL of the Corocoro magazine/Coroika gear, plus way more collabs with IRL fashion brands! 😭 S1 had the Corocoro cap and hoodie set, in which yeah it was really the other only promo gear to debut with Squid Girl's gear set in S1. 🤷‍♀ The Corocoro cap and hoodie in particular was during the time when Coroika just kinda started, before it REALLY took off, as shown via the many gear items given via buying certain Corocoro issues that had promo codes to their respective Coroika chapter. S2 had a ton of gear from the manga, such as Emperor's entire gear set (which was initially a Coroika ONLY outfit that existed for him and his teammates), SIX pieces of Sennyu/spy gear from the Octo Expansion arc, and the Mecha Gear set! Famitsu is another gaming magazine that had promo codes that gave exclusive gear that were actually winning designs from a fan design art contest, such as S1's BELOVED Traditional set (the sushi chef set) and S2's Moist Gillie suit set. Famistsu also gave two recolor items, the Koshien Bandanna and the Octo Support Hoodie, if you went and got the 4th Koshien event fanbook! (For context, Koshien is a MASSIVE tournament for Turf War in Japan, which usually brings a lot of new niche merchandise to get) There's also gear of IRL items by K.O.G., HORI, and Nike, which are one-to-one replicas of the IRL items they're based upon! The two Nike shoes in particular are LITERALLY the ones used in the Nike Splatfest art, and they were released for sale at Nike stores during the time the Splaftest was going on lol At this point you get the gist, there are WAYYYYY more collab gear items that aren't just lame recolors (sorry, 7-11 gear enthusiasts 😅) and are full on unique models! The Coroika gear in particular being super elusive right now, as the codes to redeem those gear items are long since expired sadly enough. Considering that Emperor's Emperry Splat Dualies are now confirmed to be returning in S3 in Chill Season 2023......... perhaps his gear set will also return at least 👀

@@GardenAsada If you type in シンリャク、イカ、ムスメ (or copy/paste it) then you can get a good feel of how it’s all pronounced. I’d also recommend looking up a kana guide to have that info on the ready, as a Japanese student. (Redid the reply because I messed something up and accidentally deleted it.)
