So for the timing of these battle rounds, here is an explanation of the new rule they added to this GBB. Quoting from somone in the comments of the original video: "Message to people watching for the first time. Rules these year said your round should be anywhere between 3:00-3:40, that's why not using all of your time is NOT considered a mistake. It was a decision made to diversify the competition because some genres were difficult to fit in 3 minutes. Enjoy the battles!"

In terms of the energy not being the same I think outside of Bizkit’s second round this wasn’t the best battle. I think Bizkit’s going a bit easy and having fun since he doesn’t need to prove himself again.

Technically both of them are on another level of looping. BizKit playing with distortions on his bass + his typical rap. He delivered crazyyyy. Mirsa has some very clean ambient-sound + sub bass. Bizkit had something personal against Mirsa.

So with mirsa’s first round he was almost unable to see the loopstation because of the lights in the venue and since he was the first one he got affected by it the most. Because of this he was struggling in the beginning which is why he wasted like 30 seconds. It’s a shame because personally I love his style, his flow is crazy!

@@TheDeadStretch The lights weren't the reasoning behind the long build up. The lights were an issue in the first few seconds of mirsa's round so he requested that they restart the round and they did. The long build up was due to a problem with the MK II

@@TheDeadStretchI was there live and even talked to most loopers so I know what I’m talking about. There is a screen on the loopstation and if the lights are shining on it you can’t see what you’re doing. Many loopers had this issue but because mirsa was starting off he suffered from it. After his first round it was noticed and all the other loopers asked to turn the lights down. Hope this clarifies it👍

I've been waiting for you to see this one lol. Rules for loop were slightly different this year. Everyone has 3:30 but you are allowed to finish at 3:00-3:30 to allow some leniency for the different genres and sound setup people use

I think a lot of people are getting lost in the hype of bizkits second round. I have bizkit winning, but it is much closer than I think people realize. The complexity of what mirsa did on the loop can’t be overlooked either. Great reaction BP, much love!

As some people said, they increased the time from 3 minutes to 3 minutes 40, that's to help people who are doing genres that need more time, but you can end your round early with no repercussions

Just a quick timing mention, originally loopstation had 3 min, they increased to 3:30, so that first track from Biz was probably from before the change and he didn't consider it

This is why you need to have a good ear. Bizkit was 100% more technical with more drops and better efficiency. But his mix was awful compared to Mirsa's. We can one of the judges close his ear, Mirsa pointing it out, and in general people who were live are attesting to the fact that Mirsa sounded way more clean. The deciding factor was 100% Bizkit's 2nd rounds which was one of the best loop battle responses ever. Because otherwise, we have seen even Christheodian win against Dice due to Dice having audio issues

Judges have in-ear moniters, when they hold their ears, they are pushing monitor's in more because the crowd is going wild and they want to hear everything.

And talking about the first round of mirsa,it was a perfect drill beat and the clarity of sounds including the mix was way better than bizkit 😅.

It was mirsa's first ever battle on the big stage like this, he made a mistake in the beginning and it cost him like 30 seconds which also meant he had to go overtime. Sad that happened and he got smoked in his first battle, but he needed this to happen at least in his first ever battle so he can come back a monster next time!

About the clock, this GBB they give the loopers more time and they got rid of overtime format like they used to have 10 second overtime limit, now they took it away and they gave the loopers just longer round time. That's why most the loopers finish about 20-30 seconds too early

Loop station uses red lights to indicate various things. And the stage lights were red making him not see the proper display on his loop. It happened multiple times to people; you’ll hear Scott Jackson make comments about turning down the red lights in other loop vids this year.

Bizkit performed on world champs this year so as I know and he went in late for fun or to replace somebody and had nothing prepared so he just mixed some old songs on his loop and kinda missed it. his tracks gave ear aches to everyone. Mirsa talked bullshit about him on social media live stream and or discord and bizkit used it to battle him. This is the story I know. :D

I suggest reading up on the rules of that year. Loopers were given a few seconds extra to finish.,little leniency for them. Also yea Mirsa did fck up in his first round but it was minimal. The fact that Mirsa made it 8th and won his wildcard shows how talented he is. Let's be honest here with ourselves for a eecond....only reason you and others praise Biz and shit on Mirsa is cause him being American. Lol. But that doesn't take away the fact that Mirsa is really really good at what he does and doesn't deserve shit talked.

In MirSa's first round, the reason he took so long to build up and eventually went over time is because the lighting on stage made it hard to see which effects were lit up and which were not on the loopstation. They cut it out of this video, but in the one you reacted to with dice and Robin you can hear Scott Jackson asking them to turn down the lighting. The red lights were shining the exact same color that the effects buttons light up on the loop.
