They have a plan. Economic. The difference is the Cape has naval ports for trade to the international community. They have a much higher gdp than Lesotho and Eswatini. They are net positive when it comes to tax (they pay about 4 times more to South Africa and the ANC only gives 25% back to Western Cape). They are in a much, much better position than Lesotho or Eswatini and if you look at the documents from this party, they have actually looked at details and plans for the future. I'm going traveling over the next few years so I'm not pinning my hopes on them or anything but I was very interested in the Cape Party in the last election and did a lot of reading about them.

I support the idea of Cape Independence, but not with this party. Seems like there is No Plan. On policies, constitution, which currency will be used, sharing of resources, military, SOE's, tax collection, movement of people between states, import/export of goods, etc. Why are Republican states like Texas used as good examples to aspire to. Will this party have Trumpist ideologies? The whole focus on the lockdown issue was untimely, and should not be a major concern for Cape Independence at this stage - focus on solutions to independence, not this short term lockdowns. Should Cape Independence even be a party? It seems like they are only thinking as far as getting a referendum, not the details beyond in terms of governance, state structures and policies.
