I’ve not seen her perform this live (although, I’d love to!). Would it be possible for you to describe the dance? Or is it simply just another one of the many facets of Björk that you have to actually experience in order to truly understand?
@neckroteddy5 жыл бұрын
@@crazymonkey1545 yes and no, for example I vaguely remember reading once that she doesn't "play"/"perform" (can't remember which one) the songs, because she is not acting, she is living the songs. And Biophilia has very artistic songs with "strange" or "unusual" topics, just like Mutual Core is "a metaphor for human relationships, compared to the structure of the Earth and Plate tectonics". So when she does this live, it feels (at least to me) like she is dancing kind of electronic music mixed with latino music. But you can see a good example of what I mean by searching the song on the Vulnicura Live tour, there are assembled videos of the tour on KZbin. On the Björk Digital Mexico exhibition she did a DJ Set and used mexican music like "salsa", and she was dancing like she does with Mutual Core. It was amazing.
@crazymonkey15455 жыл бұрын
Ian S, S, Thank you! I really appreciate your well thought out and detailed answer. I will definitely plan on watching a few of her live performances now to see what you’ve described; however, I’m guessing they pale in comparison to actually being there live *in person* to experience it (which would be my ultimate dream - so here’s hoping that one day my dream will becomes a reality). 🤗

I saw this OFFICIAL video over 7 years ago. Now it shows uploaded on Sep 26 2019, only 2 years 2 months ago. Why are so many YT videos being reuploaded, losing their view count, and many are no longer available in HD? What Nefarious scheme is going on?

Perhaps love is closer to the way this artist describes it than it is to what we call romantic love.

it still baffles me how this song was the perfect prelude to vulnicura. it was the same thing with all is full of love being the last single before vespertine.

Great production, as always. Esoteric, symbolic and transcendental, a strong latent mysticism finds itself quite visible.

Knowing that she was involved in original club kid drag culture makes so much sense with her artistry as a whole since its essentially putting into words the same effort and abstract ideas that club kids put into their looks. I also just. Can't get over how much I LOVE that wig she has here. That vibrants lava orange streaks flowing through the deep royal blue almost giving an idea of lava flowing by/through water.

My goddess. This song semi-reminds of Joga in some ways.
