North was used in Gabríela Friðriksdóttir's album Tetralogía. Björk and dancer Erna Ómarsdóttir contributed to the song. The album was first released as a bonus CD at the 2005 Venezia festival.Three songs similar to North: Host, Haf and Repose, were used in DR9. An improvised version of it, dubbed Ice Song, appears in the Medúlla dvd. North is often referred to as a humming song because in the background there is a loop of Bjork's humming. There is also a crackling/crying sound in the forefront.

nope it is from a cd for gabriela fridriksdottir! her book versation/tetralogia contains a cd with 4 songs in cardleeve=> north,south,west and east. and north were made by björk. and gabbys book contains the artwork from björks greatest hits and family tree. was only available at gabbys auditions.
