@ilikematches210 ай бұрын
He wasn't lying, but it's a farcry from an absolute truth. In this context scientific understanding vs poetic abstraction are an opposing dichotomy, a paradox. The T.V. wasn't something to be afraid of as the idea of a T.V. existed in Bjork's mind as put there by the poet. The reality of a TV isn't scary - just the implications of a TV as the poet described. in this sense, "don't let poets lie" means to let truth take away fear.

The day I saw her, she had some glittery stuff on her cheeks, and her eyes were incredible. She sings in a strange staccato with confidence and bravado. I like to listen to her debut album, but will invest no more. The music seems rough, and unrehearsed. Amateurish, yet undeniably aesthetic. - She's a trip. - !
