I think John Wicks arms is hurt, thats why he can't shoot him in the scene. It was the same arm that got twisted. Great video guys!
@grimreminder50383 жыл бұрын
The jacket choke can work if you tighten both sides of the collar around the neck and pull toward you. The angle in the movie is questionable as it's focused more on one artery instead of both by the look of it. The most effective way is if the person's facing you and you cross your arms while grabbing both sides of the collar and pulling the person toward you while also making sure the fabric is wrapped effectively around both arteries as the pressure can be used to cut off blood flow to the brain by various degrees. Another reason as to why anyone shouldn't wear loose clothing in matters like that, anything can be used as a weapon.

I think the last choke that Common tried was both hands crossing to the opposite jacket side and pulling it into the neck with his leg over John Wick's shoulder for more pressure on the pulling of the jacket...maybe?

I think one aspect of this scene is that John really doesn't want to kill common especially because in the story it's barely been a week since his culling of the mafiya while commons character is full on trying to kill wick for killing his charge so John empties the clip to try and defuse the fight and head to the continental to enforce the ceasefire.

The armbar escape: looks like Wick is wind milling his legs to try and get to an armbar stack escape, then Common's character counters with knife draw, Wick retreats to give a little extra space to block the knife attack. That is just what I saw.
@brainrich13582 жыл бұрын
To me it looked like Common was either trying a cross collar choke or working to set up a baseball bat choke (which is a pretty brutal choke) but the way he had his hands placed was a little weird but I think this helps to show how when in a fight with adrenaline and your mind running, sometimes mistakes happen and you just have to work with what your opponent gives you.
