So thing is when you pull that arm over your head and you start to go into that position it’s a scramble and if he reaches out with his other hand, not the one that’s over your head but the one to your legs you’ll be able to sweep it out I’ll just grab your leg. You will be able to come up because your legs are turned over, all this is a fancy way of scrambling, but if this works so well, it would be in Wrestling. It would be all the time people would be able to do this all the time but you have to think about what they’re going to do with the other hand because if you don’t, it’s just like everything else that is taught you’re not thinking about what they’re going to do and that’s the problem with Jujitsu a lot of times. I’m just trying to tell you good stuff that could be done. It’s a good way to come back in on the legs are but there’s a lot more to this.

4:34 what is stopping top guy from bringing left leg close to bottom guy's chest to flatten him out?
@avantgardebjj11 ай бұрын
First , the top guy has his posture broken by the octopus left arm which limits his movements Second, if the top guy would bring his leg up with the foot up on the mat , that would be an easy sweep to the left by shrimping and underhooking his left leg, wrestling up If his knee goes up close to the hip, not the foot up, then it would an easy sweep to the right by bumping into him ! Hope that helps 🥋😁

After being ballon d'or , he has other sidequests to complete right ?!
@TyHatfield10 ай бұрын
The thing is, he’s not gonna posture up when you start pulling down that I would just reach down in between your legs and then you couldn’t pull like out and then I’m a hip high back over the top
@TheOneBadAssGamerАй бұрын
I’m a white belt that’s been doing a very sloppy version of this. I did not know. It was a real position now that I have discovered this I can hopefully refine it and become a menace.
@avantgardebjjАй бұрын
That's awesome to read , Octopus guard is really legit but if you were one of our students we would still recommend you to work on your basics from side control or half guard with some frames , punching your underhook and reguard in to the close guard but definetly you can become a menace by practicing the octopus ! Good luck in your jiu-jitsu journey 🙌
