And 5 years later, during the 2016-2017 season, he guided the South Carolina Gamecocks to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2004, their first win since 1973 (over Marquette), their first time in school history into the Sweet Sixteen (with a victory against #2 seed Duke) and will play #3 seed Baylor on Friday March 24, 2017. A Great coach.

Frank Martin definitely overreacted in this press conference, he knew that South Carolina was a TERRIBLE team, but he took the boatload of money that was offered to him and left a good situation in Kansas State. What did F.Martin expect from a group of guys who have been SEC PUNCHING BAGS for the past few years? 9:43 that's an interesting story about Mike Beasley when you consider he has a reputation of being a joker and not working hard in high school and the NBA. Did he make that up!!!

In actuality, KSU upgraded with Bruce Weber. He won a conference championship his first year. Weber is winning games at a clip at Bramlage at a greater percentage rate than Martin. KSU is better off in every way. Frank Martin is a buffoon -- he will wear out his welcome at South Carolina.

Incorrect. '14-'15 season and '15-'16 seasons were the worst we've had in years. Weber moves to schools that are coming off of good seasons and then has one or two good seasons before crashing and burning later. Why the hell would he kick the BEST PLAYER off the team? Weber is awful. Should've fired him and taken Brad Underwood, but instead the Pokes got him and probably will be a Big 12 contender this year.

Coach Martin is 'out of his element.' He prefers to take the prodigious and break their spirit down to a level where he can control them. He is not capable of taking kids who are scared to death of him and making them believe in themselves. He cannot get them to even believe in their coach. Three seasons removed from K-State and he still talks about those teams as the only good things he has done. He made a career-ending move in going to the Gamecocks...just let him continue to do himself in and the Gamecocks won't even have to pay Martin a buy-out.
