I'm a Madonna and Björk fan ! And would've loved bedtime stories(entire album) to be produced by Björk, that was what Madonna intended to, but Björk thought it wasn't right didn't feel comfortable, Björk always have felt silly and shy about fame, now she digests it better and Madonna with all her entire troupe, fame, mogul, stardom and hard to say but she was a difficult character back in the 90s and had to be her way. At the end she made a good electronica song and named the album the same. Love them both...still making the music they want and love :)

I didn't say that. I said Bjork is real, therefore talks real & honest. She's genuine.

+Oscar De la Peña true. The whole album would have been looked at differently if Björk produced it. Bedtime story is the only sound that actually kind of fits the name of the album. The album is great, but I feel it was a B-Sides to Erotica more then an album.

@@Azarath_Metrion_ZinthosWhen I said "was" I was reminiscing. My hope is that she's alive and well and enjoying the fruits of her labours back home in Iceland. As a native musician she was staunchly patriotic and it showed in her music in her dress and her approach to the the music industry at the time. Shed go for years without doing anything but when she finally did write a new song the entire music industry got behind her and it was like hearing from an old friend again. She is à brilliant role model for determination and perseverance in the face of skepticism and my little sister's hero (at the time) because of it. Most critiques of the time labeled her as weird but that just made her more popular. Peace.

An amazing artist. I started buying CDs way late into the game (sold hundreds of LPs just prior, yawn), and “Vespertine” was one of my first discs. As astonishing as Kate Bush’s “Hounds of Love” really, but my God, that voice is just from another universe. See her as a little kid reading a traditional Icelandic Christmas tale. In the video, many kids and adult performers and yet every time the camera is on her you see and hear the brilliance and commitment to her art blowing the entire stage to smithereens. Quietly, yet! Single digit age too, I believe🤣🤣🤣

I was barely 3 years old when this came out. Most of the people that were there I view as legends, but people that are older got to watch these legends being made while questioning how long they'd last.

Björk has had such an intense impact on culture over such a short span of time, I can't help but suspect that she's covertly some kind of Norse god or something. There are so few people who you can really compare her to.

That's how many of us Nordic folk are. The German teacher I had all throughout High School (who was one of my favourites) was an Icelandic American. Other classmates were a bit put off by what they perceived as her being cold and rather blunt in demeanour on several occasions, but as a Finnish American, it wasn't all that unusual to me, as both my mother and maternal grandmother were much the same, though they also had a sense of humour.
