Ist nichts anders dann so du einen Hauw in einem Schlauder dem Mann zum Kopff fliegen last / als schicke dich in die Hut des Olbers / und ziehe dein Schwerdt neben deiner Rechten zuruck durch / trit also in dem du dein Schwerdt zurück zeuchst mit deinem Rechten fuß zu jm / unnd Schlauder ihm deinen Hauw zum Kopff / Dieser Schlauderhauw sol eben daher fliegen wie ein stein auß einer Schlaudern geworffen wirdt / was aber sonst mehr von Schlaudern nötig / findestu in stucken hernach beschrieben.

Slinging (19recto)
This is simply when you let a cut fly with a fling against your opponents head. For example, position yourself in the guard of the Fool, and pull your sword back through by your right side. Just as pull your sword back, step with your right foot towards him and sling your cut at his head. This slinging strike shall fly just as stone is thrown from a sling. Whatever else is necessary concerning
slinging you will find written later in the section on devices.
Slinging (60recto)
"Also execute slicing off and slinging, send away the hard dangers with the slice."
...Also pay heed to the slinging. As soon as he makes one side open, then rush up from below at his ears with the flat. Slice quickly back down to the opening. Concerning slinging see also the first section in the chapter on handwork [19r].

Learning this for the fechter testing...can one use a schleudern as a means of batting the sword out of the opponents opening as if he was in longpoint or straight parrying, then use ausnehmen before going in for a short edge cut or schielhau?

@ i think so, just keep the motions shorter and tighter, and more of a flick in striking 👍
