Friend I sincerely like your comment as it reflects thirst for quality. I request that you please aim higher or highest possible read any of the likes of following: Sant Kabir or Bodhidharma or Rumi or Sri Bhagwat Geeta or Quran or Essay in Zen by D T Suzuki ... that stuff is actually very contemporary, even for economy. Sorry my friend, I am assuming you have not read any of that stuff. But I am DEDUCING that you have not read any of such sources with intention of finding solutions to personal or public problems. Had you done so you would have seen this interview with FEAR AND HORROR for our spiritual kin who by chance were born in material and emotional poverty where getting out is almost impossible. Kindly notice one thing is clear that the "developed economies" are perpetually in trouble (as respected Abhijeet is very clear that macroeconomics is almost impossible to predict ... I wish he had factored in some hypothetical scope for deliberate manipulation ... at least partition of the British ruled India was a definite manipulation to force all three countries that exist now to invest heavily into defence - I would prefer to call it constant war, there is no defence ... manipulation of US markets and consequently other markets too before 2008 led to what we call 'sub prime crises' ... the bloody 'libor scandal' was simple pickpocketing on a global scale ... and EVEN WITHOUT THE MANIPULATIONS Respected Nobel awardee Abhijit acknowledges that things are chaotic towards the darker side ... he says that the influence of social media scares him ... ). Further the "developing economies" are even less predictable so intervention for improvement is very limited. Kindly recall climate change is now established. No country or all countries together are not even doing a bit to repair. Now let us put 2 and two together ... the solution seems to be mass population reduction. So please check how conflicts are generating and gathering momentum in various countries (except the developed economies) where weapons industry is the only party who is actually WINNING. So please correct me if I am wrong in guessing that we will be using our tax paid money to mass reduce human population in developing economies and the problems of developed countries with respect to sustainable development or resources crunch or climate change get solved. And they will ensure that nobody uses nukes as the after effects of that stuff is beyond control. This is like a feast where roast duck will be served, every one enjoys a roast duck ... except the duck itself. You and I are the duck friend. There is a solution but it is so simple that nobody likes it ... the solution is for you and me to refuse getting manipulated into going to the "feast where roast duck is going to be served" ... because let us look into the mirror, we are ducks and we know what happens to ducks there. We need to swallow bitterness of past and build ... but being a compulsive gambler I bet you that most of us are already on way to "roast duck feast". Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. ... honestly I never do that intentionally.

@@mangeshmugve8363 I certainly like Modi due to his extra ordinary career but one should be extremely cautious in dealing with economy as it affects all aspects of life of Billion of people in India, Rhetoric doesn't constitute a fact, Government should be focusing more on Economy as middle class expectations are extremely high, I don't think people would hesitate in kicking them out. Also as Fienman said your understanding of an idea comes out from the fact that how easily you can present that idea clearly to someone who has no background in it, I am not a student of Economics but Prof Banerjee is extremely clear about his ideas and opinions on present problems with Economy. If this situation continue for two more quarters this would be an extraordinary damage to our economy and life of many workers especially in rural area and informal sector.

To keep the native capitalists on board one has to make it attractive for them to stay on shore and invest their money and employ people as workers. If you want foreign investment in the country the same applies! It may be coined as crony capitalism, but true reality has to be seen in its perspective! Growth comes from investment by people who are prepared to take risk with their money! Arm chair philosophers and no hoppers can babbler about to excite some. But they are not the risk takers!
