I think you ignored the fact that there is the same 0.7v on the base voltage and that base-collector feedback so there should be no current flowing through that feedback, that is why base current should be neglected to get exact 7.4v since 7.47v could be 7.5v when rounded off.. but still great explanation, and I still give it a thumbs up..
