Bju press math grade 6 flip through kids workbook

Curious to know why you’re looking to change from BJU for 6th? Our oldest of 4 is in BJU math 5 this year and we worked diligently for her to do levels 4 and 5 starting from February of last year through the end of this school year. We did use the newer editions of math. I compared level 5 in the newer and older editions and the new edition 5 made much more sense teaching wise. I bough math 6 used to get a look at it and the newer edition looks less busy and overwhelming. From what I see in the teachers guide, math 6 is meant to be a textbook and work is to be done on notebook/graph paper versus their book being a worktext. I think we’ve reached the point that at math 7 my oldest is going to have to switch to videos or I would just be teaching math all day to 4 kids lol

Thank you. I love your videos. I’m thinking of switching to BJU Videos next year for Math and Language. I already use them for Science and Heritage Studies. Have you used the Video options for Math or Language? I use CLE now for those 2 and they are both great but my son takes too long to complete a lesson. I’m wondering if the video option will help kind of scale back from the worksheets.

Thanks, yes we have used their english, and math videos. Which grade are you thinking of doing this for? Have you joined the bju press homeschool mom fb group. Math u see, is shorter videos than bju math videos. Its like 8-12 minutes, and its the lesson for one week, of 5 lessons. Math u see is mastery and focuses on one thing for each grade. Bju math videos can be like 30 minutes. I know some moms on the fb group dont like the bju math 5 vidoes.

@@Nikki-jt6uc They are both good options. Now math U see, lets you have lifetime access to videos. You just need to ask them to make sure the account keeps the videos going. And you order new workbook for each kid. So it is way cheaper. But you can watch the sample videos of both

I’m having a hard time picking between bju videos for math or sticking with cle math so hard to pick. Never tried bju but the video part is what’s making me question whether to switch.

If your busy. or teaching math at that grade level is hard then videos. But check out math u see and other curriculums also. Ive heard some moms on fb say they didnt like the math 5 bju videos.

Thank you for flip through! We just got ours. How do you organize it? My kids are used to Abeka and file folder system. This book is a text book so do they write out their problems in a botebook?

@@lifewithashleynoah9893 Thank you so much! Have you also tried their world history dlo? How was your experience with it? We are thinking of utilising dlo for history too...& maybe just purchase the whole grade kit since it seems it's cheaper that way. Thank you again!
