I’m so glad it was helpful! The extension set is great! I feel like the only brush I don’t use often is the flat powder brush I compared to Nikki’s multi face brush. The others are in regular use!

My first time watching. Your video was detailed, informative and helpful. I just subscribed to your channel. I am 69 and have hooded eyes, getting into makeup more in the last few years. I do not look old I have very nice skin. I trying to find a foundation and a a cream blush for myself. I have normal to dry skin and live in Nevada. I was recently diagnosed with right breast cancer in 2024. I am recovering from my radiation treatments. I was lucky it did not spread to my lymph node so I have. A 96% survival rate. They took my HRT away as my cancer feeds on estrogen so it threw me into early menopause, suffering from sleeplessness and weight gain and some irritability.❤

@@gailschaefer-guajardo6731 Hello Gail! First, I am so sorry to hear about your cancer but I’m also glad to hear about your survival rate diagnosis! That’s an amazing percentage. Being thrown into menopause on top of that is sort of insult on injury though, that is a lot of change all in a short period of time 🫶 I would be more than happy to give you some recommendations for foundation. What type of coverage do you like? Light, medium, full? As far as cream blush, there are so many wonderful options. I really love the Danessa Myricks yummy skin flushed balms. They are pigmented but if you use a light hand they are so lovely. More of a skin finish, not dewy. They are quite long lasting which I think would be helpful in the Nevada heat. For you it will be a balance of finding something that wears well but also has some moisture for your skin in a dry climate (I grew up in northern Arizona so I remember 😉). Something a bit more juicy and budget friendly are the Flower Beauty Blush Bombs. (Not sure if Ulta still carries the brand)? Those come in a tube so they’re a cream/liquid hybrid I would say. I am a huge cream blush fan and have many I enjoy but those are a couple good starting points!

Thanks for this video. Very helpful. I love Nikki La Rose and I really wanted to buy her brushes to support her but my instinct was that I would not find them that helpful for me. I bought the BK beauty 101 because everyone raved about it but like you I don't love it because it is HUGE for my face. I wished I bought the 109 instead. I actually love the ELF ultimate blending brush more. I do love BK beauty's core line extension eye brushes because they are small and fits my small 64 year old hooded asian eyes. Bye Lovely.

Yes I agree that the extension set has a lot of great smaller brushes. In general, I think it’s great to shop single brushes once you know your own preferences. That way you don’t end up with a lot of brushes you won’t use.

Have you ever used Angela Bright's eye brush set in collab from Sigma ?have that set. I have a 3 piece eye brush set from Profusion, and a full set of Eco Tools face and eye brushes. When I purchased the Colour Pop Stone Cold Fox eyeshadow palette I also received the whole roll of brushes I actually have never used no reason. Like I said I am looking for a good foundation for myself like Fenty's Soft Lit Luminous Foundation? And a good cream blush that looks more natural.. Thank you for your time.

@@gailschaefer-guajardo6731 I haven’t tried that set in particular but I do have some of those brushes. I love that they are all detailed medium-small shapes. Which is exactly what we hooded eyes ladies need! 😉 I have never tried profusion brushes, are you happy with those? I haven’t tried that Fenty Foundation. The nars light reflecting foundation is a favorite of mine if you like medium to full coverage. I usually mix it with a bit of moisturizer because I prefer a light coverage but the finish of that is so lovely. They have a nice shade range as well. The Haus Labs Triclone foundation is also nice, I would say that one is medium coverage. It is a bit more luminous and has some great skin loving ingredients too. In regards to blushes, I know I gave some cream blush recommendations in your other comment-but I was searching through my content I found my cream blush picks from one summer in case you want to see some swatches and thoughts. 🩷 I tend to love pops of color that time of year but all of these brands have subtle options too 😉 My Favorite Cream Blushes for Summer 2023 with swatches kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4O5o2ugfLScrrc

@@dawnr9158 If you want more face brushes, this would be a nice set-if you like the shape of the dual sided multi face brush and would get good use. I really love most of the brushes in the extension set too! If you don’t have those, they’re worth a look. I did a video on them when they came out and some of them have become must haves! (I think two of the ones in this top 10 are in the extension).

I came looking for reviews on the Nikki brushes because I love her and I watch almost everything she posts. I want to buy her brushes but I already have many BK brushes and also the whole set of Angie Hot and Flashy. I love them all. I’m not an expert on makeup so I don’t have hundreds of brushes but the BK are definitely my most used. 101, 106, 112, A506, A503 are on my daily use. I also bought the set with 102, 103 and 104. I don’t use those much. I kind of regret buying them. The 103 I use sometimes for my powders. I know many recommend the 104 for bronzer but not me. I use it for that only because I don’t have another brush for bronzer. I tend to have a heavy hand so dense don’t work. Any suggestions are welcome 🙏🏼

Hi there! As far as BK beauty brushes that I enjoy for bronzer (other than my beloved 111 which may be too dense for you), I think the 107 would be great, and Nikki’s N17 would work well too (if you’re ok with smaller bronzer brushes which is my preference). The shape of the N15 would work nicely but might also be a bit more dense than you’d find ideal. Hope that’s helpful!

So frustrating that these are not available in the UK! 😢. The shipping is so much and just not worth it for me when I can get similar with other brands here in the UK for a similar price point and no shipping! I would love to try these, especially the Nikki set. I just wish they were available on Amazon or cult beauty etc.

@@jk6215 she does have some beautiful things! Love her blushes. I do remember having one of her foundations and it was nice. I don’t care for the tinted bare minerals powders but they had a translucent pressed one for a moment that was nice-maybe that’s what I was talking about? The bare minerals tinted gel moisturizer is still in my top 3 for complexion though, it’s just gorgeous.

Ohhhhh I feel your pain. That was my favorite too. I still haven’t found one that I love as much, as far as voluminous formulas go. I do like the Rare Beauty mascara, but it’s not as easy to remove as the Bite. I’ve actually been into more stretched long lashes lately and for that I’ve really liked the Tower 28 Make Waves and the Hourglass Unlocked tubing mascara. Right now I’m forcing myself to use the many tubes I have before trying anything else!

@@KeepBeautyReal1 I like the Rare Beauty one. I can tell is in the same family of mascara as the Bite, it just doesn't quite get where I want to go in one quick coat. I did some research, and it seems the Pat Mcgrath Dark Star mascara is a dupe for the Bite (or slightly better). Other alternatives (not quite dupes) I found could be the Ives Saint Laurent Lash Clash Extreme Volume, and the Essence I love Extreme Crazy Volume mascara. When I finish the Rare beauty one Ill def Try the Essence one and if that doesn't satisfy ill splurge on the Pat Mcgrath. I might end up with the Rare beauty again, full circle. I do like it after all. Well see

@@tedoymisojos you’re right, the Bite was BAM in just a few strokes. I’ve heard good things about the PML mascara(and considering the sales she’s throwing around you could probably get a good deal). I haven’t tried the Volume version of the essence but whichever I did try a few months ago kept smudging on me. If you find a new winner let me know and I’ll do the same 😉

I love my bk beauty brushes. Still have a few eye brushes to fill in some gaps the Angie set didn’t have. Love those eyebrushes. This set shapes don’t look that interesting. That 111 brush I like to use after I have my blush and bronzer on making sure it is blended. 101 great for cream foundation. Love 109 for cream blush and bronzer. Cream products don’t get gunked in these other. So easy to clean.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have to say, after using the new extension for quite a while now I don’t think there is a quality difference. I love several of the new brushes. The only think I have noticed is that the new 101 seems less dense, which I have mentioned in videos. I do like the brushes with longer handles, but that’s a personal preference.
