Hello again! 👍👍👍Thomas, here you have once again outdone yourself. This film is absolutely unbelievably great after your break! 💥💥💥 It was a pleasure and with the right sound everything has an incredible tension. I just had to watch it three times in a row to enjoy all the great settings. Even the beginning with the pink tones and the mirror colors is a wonderful introduction to this lively life. The many people and characters (although not everyone knows that they appear in this great epic)😉 are very detailed facets. Then the overview from the bird's eye view - great!. the dance of the little robots - fascinating. so many “hostesses” and then the transition to the cheerful old lady - great edit! If Ridley Scott had filmed Blade Runner in the Bangkok Red Light District it wouldn't have been any better. The atmosphere with the soundtrack is very harmonious. I really like the melon shot with the background. Playing with speed and slowing down (escalators, traffic, etc.) gives the whole thing a good dynamic! You could list it for hours - so many great scenes! The violin man seems lost in this world but he still fits in here. The great match shot edit of the eye to the tunnel with the people really impressed me! In short: your best film of all time! Thank you very much for this enjoyment - my wait was absolutely worth it. Hello again dear Shiso. So.... I believe I now owe you an 8 course dinner for this monster of a comment, haha... Thank you so much for boosting the Supergenki morale, however it's too much and you're too kind my friend. But I sure appreciate your kind intentions, and if you liked this little movie just half of what you expressed, I am more than happy. And you are quite right, the violin-man is completely out of place. And I was puzzled why he chose a neighborhood like this to play, it's not like the clientelle there are known to be hardcore lovers of classical violin, haha... The tunnel shot was a nightmare tbh. I re-edited it four times. First I made the tunnel reflect in the eye, followed by a very fast, very deep zoom "into the eye" which eventually lead into the tunnel "filling out the entire screen". But it was somehow over the top, and didn't work as intended. So finally I ended up with the most simple version. Sometimes less is more, and this time it was! Wow! The scenery of Thaniya Road, one of the three major red light districts in Bangkok, Thailand, the Siam area, and the downtown area is very beautiful! It was beautiful to see so many people coming and going, and you could even see them busking at night! And the street food looked delicious too.
