Love it had ordered mine the moment the announcement got out. Also its interesting to see Nolly mention he sets his that close to strings. Guess thats due to the unoriented magnet with lesser pull.
@chrisking66953 жыл бұрын
Right? I was wondering why it didn't give him intonation issues.
@adamnollygetgood3 жыл бұрын
To be fair even with a big ceramic magnet in a humbucker you can still raise the bridge pickup close to the strings without issues. The string pull thing is most severe with the neck position and mostly with single coils (where the pole pieces themselves are the magnets)
@karolkozak643 жыл бұрын
@@adamnollygetgood that's cool ...didn't know that. I'm really interested in trying out the polymath. Recently I've been using a silo in my prs custom 22 in drop B and I had to lower it a bunch since it's pumping a bit too much bass at times with some amps at such low tuning. (think 2.5-2.8mm) What I'm hoping to get with the polymath is a bit more even and tighter bottom end response that does not come at the cost of making everything too bright.

Ya tim should do a live stream with nolly. Im sure we’d all love to have the opportunity to ask tim and nolly pickup questions. Im totally going to buy a set of polymaths to swap out the stock ibanez AZ seymour duncans. Im curious too to see if the ibanez AZ dynamix switch works with bareknuckle pickups, i imagine so. Bareknuckle by far has the most unique voices on their line, and their single coils are amazing. I did a misha partscaster build with a juggernaunt and trilogy’s in the neck and mid and they are almost more fun to play on than the bridge. The neck trilogy is so tubey.
@BKPickups3 жыл бұрын
Yes, our 4 conductor humbnuckers will work with the Dynamix -10 switch, but it's going to be best to order a set with a reversed magnet in one pickup (we usually make that the neck pickup) which will allow you to get hum cancelling when running the inner or outer coils together.

More aggressive Andy Timmons tone?? Okay, I'm sold! I would love to put this in the bridge position of my Charvel DK24. Do you guys have any recommendations for a neck and middle single coil that would be a good match for the Polymath?
@adamnollygetgood3 жыл бұрын
Awesome, glad you’re into the vibe! You could pair the Polymath with any of the vintage hot or higher output singles depending on the combination you’re after. I’d say the Irish Tours could be a great option to consider to start off with.

We may well expand our bass range in the future, sure, but one of the big things for us is that active pickups account for such a huge proportion of the bass world and that's something that we're not ever likely to move into. We'll see!

What do you guys think about Silo's in the Neck and Polymath in the bridge? Would it work well in theory?

Yeah, that will certainly work. The Silo neck has a lower output with more headroom when compared to the Polymath neck, but the overall voicing will blend nicely

@chrisking66953 жыл бұрын
@@nickp440 He is not thoughtful and he is not the most intelligent. How did you determine that he is the most intelligent? Because he sounds smart? 🤣 Elon Musk's glorification is disgustingly pathetic. He came in as a visionaire with money and bought off Tesla and had the people build what he envisioned. He invested and it worked out. Most of his opinions outside of his field of expertise are questionable to say the least. The way he treats his employees is so corporate. He's all about maximizing his bottom line at all costs. Pathetic. He's a typical elitist capitalist who doesn't give two shits about his workers. Yet without them Tesla would be nothing. But let's say he treated his workers well for the sake of argument, that still doesn't make him the most intelligent and thoughtful person on this planet. You're completely infatuated with this super brain image that the media has given him. If he was such a super brain he wouldn't do half the shit he does because he would realize that it's bigoted, prejudiced, elitist and flat out mysagonistic. I'm glad that there's people who can look past the image he was given and judge him for the person he his and separate that from his role as a CEO. Just because someone is rich and the CEO of a successful company doesn't mean they're super smart or extremely talented or whatever. That's such a fallacy that is so common in our society. Homeless = lazy and dumb, rich = hard working and smart. In fact it's the propganda of elitists who sit on their asses all day long letting their money work for them. You should talk to people in finance to find out how at a certain point you don't have to work anymore to get more money. Your money will work for you. But the workers will always take the hit if profit is the only thing you care about. Besides, Tesla cars have a lot of issues. It's not like he's immune to human error. Good cars but nothing to the point where I'd deem himin a genuis or smarter than other people in lower positions. Lots of smart people just don't give a damn about money and success. They fill their brains with knowledge and one doesn't have to be rich and successful to suck in all the knowledge there is. You can be a fucking homeless dude and read books or learn math or whatever. And you can be dumbest person on this planet and be rich (e.g. Donald Trump's son/daughter..They're both idiots. Born with money that they didn't have to work for. They don't do anything but splurge and splurging doesn't require mental fortitude). Stop buying into elitist propganda and see Musk for who he is.
