agreed. the JLA subplot was a waste of time...almost exactly like Blade 3 when they insisted on shoehorning in Ryan reynolds and his sidekicks into a movie that SHOULD have been about the main character. by comparison, Batman Vs Superman included Wonder Woman without having to devotea bunch of time to her personal life and backstory..they wisely left THAT for a diffrent movie, with the photo from WW2 being a perfect plot hook. what should have happened was Dr. Fate would show up to investigate, but not intervene directly until the final fight..leave the JLA out of it for another movie, and have the film end with Fate checking in with the new Captain Marvel and explaining the exiled champion is BACK. you could still have Amanda Waller pulling strings with Superman as well, which would lead to a three way fight in the following movie. Mind you, the relationship between Shazam and black Adam was a lot more poingnat when Billy Batson was an ORPHAN that had his family KILLED, as opposed to being abandoned and adopted by the freaking rainbow tribe. but they just HAD to go with the "Modern and inclusive" origin instead.

@@alexsolomon8127 Yes and in addition Black Adam was a charachter who is self centered and believing himself as a god as he has the power of the gods. And not just kill bad guys but incocent also. They should have explored that, but Dwayne is too "famous" for being a bad guy again.

@@syler100 this isn’t true at all, black adam became corrupted by his power due to the inability to protect his family, the characterization you are thinking of was his origin story in the 40s which hasn’t been relevant in decades. Adam has never relished in the killing of innocents. A lot of the problems people have with this movie comes from THEM not really knowing the source material. Most modern depictions of black adam paints him as a troubled anti hero with a brutal sense of justice and this was his character long before the rock got this role.

The films don't really explain it but in the comics, Black Adam was a devout Egyptian and he didn't want the powers of the Graeco-Roman-Abrahamic pantheon, which is given to Billy instead

No, he was killed before placing the crown on his head

@@StuckonStupid84 the trick being he had to place the crown on his head and THEN be killed, as the demons were otherwise stuck in Hell. Adam interrupted the chain of events the first time. as for the 2nd time...well..with VERY few exceptions (Trigon when depicted properly comes to mind) demons have never been quite as powerful as Gods...so Sabbac was kind of doomed from the get go.

He's from Khandaq. He isn't Egyptian. Regardless of that, he's powered by extremely powerful magics and literal Gods. Zehuti(Thoth) gives him nearly omniscient knowledge in all mundane things, including language and linguistics
