The fallout won't just affect him, but Lois and the kids too. If the boys decide to reveal their abilities, can you imagine how much the perceptions that their peers have of them will change? I imagine they are going to have a bit of hate, jealousy & envy coming their way from all the guys at school. Every macho guy in school is going to want to take them in a fight, just to try to prove something. The girls will either ask them for super-powered favors, or they will date them either to get them to use their abilities for their own benefit, or to be near Superman and brag how they are close to the family and therefore "in the know". Also, let's not forget people outside the family will be trying to recruit them for sports, the military, business, or other exploitative ventures, so there is that too. Either way, from that day forward, they won't know if their friends are being sincere, and actually do like them for who they are, or only because they have powers and are the kids of Superman. Their lives are going to be hell for the next several years. I am not even going to go into how people are going to treat Lois. That whole dynamic will be drastically different too. As far as Clark, the tightrope he has been walking, is going to get even tighter. People are going to either be nervous around him, are going to try to ask HIM for favors, or they might actually sincerely support him, and hopefully look past the cape. Too bad this is the last season, there are so many avenues about his reveal that could have been explored. Hopefully they will touch on some of them in the next few episodes.

Red Skull was one of the all time best Marvel villains despite his low screen time. I really wish they had done more with him consudering jow mysterious his defeat was in this film.
