Thanks for the video. I purchased the exact same model from Walmart today for $23 (rollback) and look forward to using it.

Jim Smith I love it. The rice comes out perfect with no brown burn on the bottom.

Wow Jim....I just checked online and i saw Wal-Mart online is selling this B&D 6 cup Rice Cooker for $14.99. Free Ship to my local Walmart in 2 days. Did you pay for the extended warranty? Funny the smaller B&D 3 Cup Rice Cooker is $13.99. How is yours doing. Are you happy with the rice cooking as well as the veg steaming?

"I did not measure the water. I just kinda eyeballed it." The measurement lines are literally right inside the pot. Follow them.

Did not state which model this rice cooker is and I was looking to see max amount of rice I can put in the RC506 model
@Bill237994 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your making a review of this product as i am considering buying it. However if you want to give a product a fair review you really should follow the instructions. I am sure most everyone thought the same thing when you were scooping out your rice.... " oh look, it burned the rice on the bottom. I realize you took responsibility for probably not using enough water because you were " Winging it ". But still the first impression people got was it burns the rice.

I bought a new one last two days.but it didn't work well for cooking rice just it looked hot but not well done. Could you tell me how to fix the rice cooker ?
@thesightseer92254 жыл бұрын
You've used the recommended amount of water? You could try using a bit more water. Hopefully nothing is wrong with the cooker and it's not giving too much or too little heat.

How do you like yours Adeline? I see Wal-Mart online has this Black & Decker 6 Cup Rice Cooker for $14.99 Free 2 Day Shipping to my local Wal-Mart. I am considering buying one. Do the steamed veg come out ok or are they turned to mush at end of rice cooking cycle? Don't forget to put Aluminum foil over the heating element Like Al Smith does. It blocks the Cosmic Rays from altering the DNA of the rice that the Aliens are bombarding us with. Wearing a Tin Hat would be good as well hehe.

What’s the water measurement ?
@michaelpoyntz7742 жыл бұрын
To the marked level illustrated on inside of cooking pot. Use the cup provided to measure rice servings. Typically 1 cup of the supplied plastic container of rice plus water added to the first line works perfectly and serves to adults.. Although brown rice may take slightly longer.

@joncampos55514 жыл бұрын
david lopez Oh yea, I have it on right now, for some roast. I saw some vids where people used it to hard boil eggs. It is a good idea to rinse the rice about three times, and then when it switches to warm I put a small towel under the lid for about 10 minutes and that absorbs the extra water and makes for fluffy rice.
@davidlopez-rl4sh4 жыл бұрын
@@joncampos5551 yeah it seems like giving it 10 minutes when it's done is a good idea. Thanks for the response I am cooking rice now.

@michaelpoyntz7742 жыл бұрын
I think it would have been useful to specify your water to rice ratio also to point out to use the cup measure INCLUDED with this cooker, which DOES NOT EQUAL AN AMERICAN FULL CUP MEASURE. So, while rule of thumb ratio of 1 cup water 1 cup rice doesn't work effectively with this cooker. Follow the guide of one supplied cup of rice then add water level to mark on inside of cooker pot.
