Omg thank you so much! This was so helpful! I love the way you explained it! Simple, slow and steady and it was easy to understand...straight to the point!! Honestly, I don’t know why there aren’t any likes! Very well put and good presentation and set up...very neat and clean area, clean hands and clean cooking. No touching the food with hands and then licking your fingers like other people do with very bad manners. (I understand that they are cooking for themselves but presentation is always key!) You did a very good job, clear and easy to follow! Bless!

Thank you for the video, its really going to help me out, I love the step by step how you explained it. I never realized it was so basic, but one question, because I've never cooked rice, how do you properly clean the rice first? Any kind of help is appreciated, thank you.
@CrownofElegance4 жыл бұрын
Good question. There may be many ways but I usually "pick" the rice first. This is removing the black or rotten ones. Then wash the rice in a bowl of room temperature water about 3 times before cooking. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching😊.

Black and Decker rice cookers heat up much faster than Aroma. Good video! How I know is because I put the same amount of water in my aroma and my black and Decker. The black and Decker heated up and was boiling. The Aroma hadn't even begun to boil!! No more Aromas for me!!

Hey i just bought a rice cooker and in the instructions it says im not supposed to use it on the stove but on a countertop. I dont have a countertop in my apartment is there an alternative to this? Also how long before i flip the lid after i turn it off?
@CrownofElegance8 жыл бұрын
Hems port Hi. I have actually used my rice cooker on my dining table. I attached it to an extension cord. I think any flat, non- flammable surface just might work. I usually allow it to go to the keep warm setting and leave it there until I am ready to serve, then unplug it. Thanks for watching!

I have this model but in the 3 cup version. However, I find that during the beginning (when it's boiling) some water tends bubble out from the glass lid edges....despite there being a steam-hole provided. Does the bigger model do this as well too? Or did you kind of wipe it down for the video? thank you,. 🤗 Love the accent, girl! 💕
@CrownofElegance6 жыл бұрын
Sylvia hey. I have had bubbling over the edges while making some items. To solve this, I usually open the lid partially during the cooking process and that works. Thanks for watching!

Bought an aroma that is very similar to your bd, but mine didn't come with a steam basket unfortunately🙁. Although I'll put my sugar snaps,corn,and sometimes broccoli on top. It's hard to get use to because I've always cooked rice on stove top and 1 part rice to 2 cups water is different in a rice cooker if you want good sticky rice.

I need to buy a rice cooker..I'm tierd of using a pot..and then the rice sticks to the bottom of the pot. How was the cleanup process? Does rice stick to inside of cooker ?
@CrownofElegance8 жыл бұрын
Symona Payne I haven't had problems with sticking. I usually stir the rice during the cooking process to prevent sticking from taking place. I think the rice would stick once it isn't stirred.
@CrownofElegance8 жыл бұрын

Thank you for this video. I just bought this rice cooker and my first batch was mushy and it made a mess all over he counter. It boiled over and was awful. I read the directions twice but I didn't NOT understand from the papers that 2 in the bowl was for 2 cups for rice. I thought that was 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice. Making it again now and hoping it turns out like yours. Otherwise, I'm just an idiot who can't use a rice cooker.

hi. thanks for sharing. may I know the cooking time? or it was preset by the rice cooker? i suppose it should change with quantity and rice type, anyway...
@CrownofElegance7 жыл бұрын
andrea lenzi the rice took approximately 30 mins to finish. However, the rice cooker shuts off whenever the rice is finished. You are also right- it is dependent on the item and amount being cooked. Thanks for watching 😊
@andrea_lenzi7 жыл бұрын
thanks for the fast answer :-) actually i don't know if i have to set manually the cooking time, or use the presets (40 min quick cooking, 1 h fine cooking) provided that i read "10-minute ready rice" on the box

water is spilling out from the side of my rice cooker..but i see its not happening in ur case..m i doing something wrong??
@CrownofElegance8 жыл бұрын
hi, sometimes I experience spillage if I have too much water in the rice cooker bowl. Try reducing the water to rice ratio and add water gradually as needed or you can use the rice cooker with the lid positioned slightly opened. This usually corrects my problem.
@eugie738 жыл бұрын
So, you just let it cook the 30 minutes without stirring at half the time? I just ordered a rice cooker but have never used one so I'm researching before picking it up.
@CrownofElegance8 жыл бұрын
You will thoroughly enjoy using your rice cooker. I love that I can leave it, do other stuff and I know what I am cooking is not going to burn. During the process of cooking you can give the rice a quick stir with the plastic spoon that comes with your rice cooker because sometimes it may stick to the bottom of your pan.
