How he just gently tap his work with paper napkin could lessen the pain in the tattoo process. Other tattoo artist should do this instead of just wipind and brushing it off with the paper napkin.

Tattoo artist here. It’s not that simple tho. For daniel’s style he’s using very minimal amount of ink to build up softer tone in the tattoo, that’s why dapping the tissue is enough to clean it off. But for other styles such as traditonal, we use a lot of ink for thick lines, bolder tones of color packing and shading, that’s why wiping is needed to clean the ink off the surface. Hope this explanation helps!

@@hyaguzum cause of the style, lot of details, wil they stay or face out over time. wil it stil look great after some years. wil it need touch ups. a portfolio is great on what you can do as a artist, but wil the painting stay on the canvas? if i was a tattoo artist, I ask my costumers to send in pictures after some time to add to my portfolio and show my new costumers what they can aspect. I have Tattoos older than 30 years, some look stil good, some you barley can see what is was.
