You’re not wrong, but think that before as children as we are in our lives,they are taught of each colour, by teachers who have met their soulmates already and can see them. Yes,they appear as different shades, but overtime as with everything in this universe the children learn to associate different things with colours, like the ocean with being blue. Yes, all they can see are shades but it’s like with everything else- they are taught to understand for when they find their soulmates. So yeah theoretically they shouldn’t know but I’d like to think that with thin this dystopian almost setting of a world, humans have adapted and have learnt. I hope this answers your enquiry. Apologies that this wasn’t explained in the video too! I won’t lie i made this video years ago now and have aged mentally and physically.
