Hi Paul What a great Game! Anyways, I tried the solo mode today and had some difficulties. Now watching your video gets me even more confused. So, may I dare to ask: Isn't there one color and three "active" dice missing in your setup? The manual says, same setup as for a 2-player game, which includes the two player colors plus one "dummy" color - with only three robots present on the board (operating rooms). These will be removed as soon as a player puts another robot in the "operating room" (26:18) to claim an additional die for the upcoming B-sequences. Therefore I set up my game with Pink (myself), White (HAL) and Red (Dummy), drawing the dice for all three of us. Was I wrong by doing so? However, here is another, related question: As far as I remember I even read somewhere in HAL's rules about what die to choose in HAL's turn, that there can be a situation when you have to actually take a die from "the third party", put it into his reserve and giving him 3 VP. This would happen in the case that there are no more dice (of a certain color) he would need to do his action, nor in his reserve, neither in the player's. Oh, and BTW: The rules say at some point, that HAL always uses the highest die of the needed color available. Therefore I always used one of his dice (if highest), one from dummy's reserve or, if I had the highest value, one of my own die (in that case claiming a resource from the general supply). Right or wrong, what do YOU think? I would really apreciate it, if you could help me out with these rules, as I didn't really get them. Thanks for that and thank you for the great video!

my rulebook is different then. I'm using the version here: pearlgames.be/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Black-Angel-Rules-V6_EN_LD.pdf It just says to setup for a multi-player game. On page 15 there is no mention of the dummy player, but you have me curious now. Have you checked BGG to see if anything has been asked there. Please let me know. The reason I think you don't use a dummy player is in the rules on p.15 about die selection: "Among the dice of the indicated color, Hal always takes the die of the greatest value. If several dice have the same value, he will use his own die. If the die with the greatest value is yours, he will buy it: Take 1 resource from the supply in compensation. As usual, Hal cannot buy a die you have reserved." - there is no mention there of the dummy player.

Instead of clearing ravages with Hal’s green 3 he took from you, you cleared damage instead, unfortunately altering the game quite a bit. :(
