I would say it really depends on your feet size. No matter what kind of boots just have to make sure that the boots fits just right on your feet then it won't look odd :)

Hey guys, I've gone through two black leather pairs of Timberland cap toe lace up leather boots and the black chipped right off on the toe and the heel after a year, so there's basically brown spots all over them. Is this something that happens with all black leather boots or is it an issue with Timberland painting rather than tanning their leather black? Black shoe polish doesn't do the trick, I was using a black sharpie to color in the holes, then black polish over it made it look just about good as new (probably a no no, but who knows) -practically spamming this comment on all my favorite boot vids cuz I'm at a loss

Sounds like the black is painted on rather than being tanned. Maybe try to layer it with a few layer of black shoe polish. But oh well hope your boots turn out fine!

I dunno, man ... in my field of work, brown boots remind me too much of safety boots so it's really hard for me to lean towards brown boots as casual/smart/office unless I wear them with coverall lol. I like black not just because it's a safe colour for any outfit but feel give more edge yet low-key appearance.

For Red Wing you could go down half a size but for Thursday Boot I recommend staying true to size. It's still best if you could try them on first before buying! :)

Black matches with everything so you could pretty much wear anything on top! Some of my recommendations will be a maroon or navy sweater/turtleneck, and you can even go with a grey or beige coloured peacoat :)

So theres no real hard and fast rules, personally Id think white pants actually may not look bad with black boots, lol but I'd have to see. As far as black vs brown I'd say brown is the winner, personally I prefer brown it goes with my skin tone better and its not as harsh, its a tad warmer and I think I get more compliments when I wear brown vs black
