@@illustr7387 I mean in all technicalities I would say he's a man who believes he is a woman simply because he prefers to "recieve" rather than "give". He has a notion (which existed in the Victorian era) that if you were in a homosexual relationship whoever gave was the man and whoever took was the woman. So, he's just overcomplicated his issues by believing in that myth wholeheartedly. He definitely can be classed as one, but I doubt it was a lack of comfort in his male sex and gender and more to do with his ideas of sex and of intimacy in general. If he knew better (or was just born a hundred or so years later) he likely wouldn't have thought himself a woman. I bet would just be comfortable in being a man who likes to take the blood sausage. That's about all it'd amount to. It's been a long time since I've seen the full series so I don't know where his psychotic and murderous episodes come from. But . . . I love he/her/they as long as there isn't any murder fucking. I'm not putting it past him considering his obsession with Sebastian. Hm, the more I remember of him the more questions I have about how he got fucked up. I have strong headcanon that Grell had a daddy issue after this OVA. That she had the same epileptoid, cold father, who also devalued her and resorted to this kind of physical punishments. In the beginning she acts like a teenage rebel towards William, it's look like she feels the similarity with the parent and it annoys her, but she cannot figure it out why. But after she gets her ass kicked she feels sexual attraction because it triggers a childhood memory of her mistakenly percepted of physically punishment as a show of affection. That's why I ship them but I don't believe that they ever will have a happy ever after) It's weird, i didn't even realize that this scene is comedic when i first watched it, i just immediately felt bad for Grell being inflamed for such a reason and asking Will not to leave her 🥺
