Also Im going to a Godspeed gig in 2 months, any tips for recording the gig? I have a canon EOS 650D but I just don’t know if I should do something for better lighting or idk
@roustghoti5 ай бұрын
adjusting the light relevant settings while waiting and in the gaps between songs, if the lights change a lot, set it darker rather than lighter

Watch the kite, it [?], then falls Into the fight, the metal-clad knight He walks, then runs Then crawls into a hole where he toiled and recoiled About all that he had failed The accolade that he betrayed Now he decayed in the dark cave Oh, so afraid was every [?] Everything fades, oh Where's the way? Oh Where's the way? Where is the way? Hey, anyonе there? I'll take off my armor If you promisе to stay Wipe your weeping eyes [?] And am I a saint? Or am I a sinner? I judge and I judge And it's me that brings down The heavy armor The [?] begins to behave on its own And my arm turns to wood Roots wrap 'round my wrist Kite strings burn my palms I am proud to know you Could I make a cup of coffee? Can I sit down next to you? I might not speak for a while But, just to be here with you Be with you I might not be the best rider or a fighter But I think I'd like to be a little lighter I could try to throw off the iron helmet Indulge in memories May cavalries rest [?] Take my shield and blade off of me Melt the silver down I'll make you a crown Then the wind stops, the clock ticks on My stiffened heart grows tighter I search from the moon And down towards the fish And the tide and the moon Have their own alliance I stood with my ghost We tried to hold the kite My wooden hand, my wooden heart Now all the fights are ? And moments gone But still, they must be here They must But, are you there? Can you see me? Are you listening? Won't you stay? [?] [?]

I'm trying so hard to like these new songs. But they changed a lot, what they are making is beautiful for sure, but it doesn't connect with me. It's hard to explain and sad to see that the group I once adored is growing apart from me. Thanks for recording and uploading it!

I feel the same way, sadly you can’t even say you’re opinion without getting slandered by Bcnr fans.
@socialanxietv1404 ай бұрын
@@twigthecheese6462 I don't think BCNR fans mind people saying they don't enjoy the new music as much, but if the only thing someone has to say is that BCNR should go back to what they used to do, then that's a different thing. They make the music they love and that's what's important.
@josh887454 ай бұрын
i actually prefer the music a lot more now seems more natural for them given there folk/ classical backgrounds yet still some rocky elements which is satisfying
@sammieslaterjr.89824 ай бұрын
Completely agree. Most of the new songs just feel like they are shooting for pastoral but land on saccharine instead. At this point I'm not even mad about them shedding the post-punk skin (although I do miss it, Sunglasses beat my ass like a drum when I first heard it,) Ants From Up There balanced theatrics with genuine emotion (or do I say angst) and impressive songwriting with relative immediacy perfectly, but what they are doing now just feels... staged. It's like chamber rock for Disney adults. I'm genuinely sorry I feel this way, they came and went really quick when it comes to my personal hall of fame, but their impact on me was tremendous in more ways than one. It sucks that I don't think I'm even going to like their next album all that much.

I feel like they are two separate groups, much like Joy Division/New Order. Personally I prefer New Order and BCNR post-Isaac but I still like Joy Division and the first two BCNR albums.
