India is the only democratic country where judges elect themselves. The legal system lost its credibility when the Supreme Court set aside the NJAC Act of 2014. Remember, the Act was passed by both houses of Parliament. Worst, India’s Bar Council of India has become corrupt when it started collecting funds abroad as an NGO. India’s judicial system continues to work against Bharat Mata. People are watching the way judgment was pronounced against centuries old Hindu tradition of Hindu customs at Sabarimala.

Very true. PMO and Amit Shah sends judgements with names of judges , they will sign. Before 2 days Amit Shah met shiv Sena rebel.MLA s and assured them that they will.not loss their membership from Assembly. Matter was being decided by Dy Speaker on disqualification, it's like judicial proceeding with judicious mind. Matter was moved to Supreme Court. Supreme Court should have told to appear before Dy Speaker and to give their say. Let Deputy Speaker pass the order and thereafter if aggrieved they can come before Supreme Court with their case. But instead Supreme Court chopped hands of Deputy Speaker to act on disqualification application. It was act to protect rebel to join BJP. topple MVA Government and BJP to form new government. If indeed the learned judges have not signed the judgement then how can it come into effect ? The sheets on which the judgement was written or typed will only be pieces of paper . It is common office procedure all over the world that even a routine commnunication needs signature of some authority and even he or she would not sign it unless his or her subordinates put their initials below the dotted line. How can there be exception to this basic procedure in the SC ? If it is legal in the SC it should be so in every office atleast in govt offices !! Unbelievable .But then the milords are immune to many things and this privelege is just one of them. How else can one explain the fact that the SC calls Modi a modern day Nero and tranfers the cases outside Gujarat for fair trial and 18 years later not only gives clean chit to him but also puts the complainant in dock ? Surely such things happen only in the largest democracy of the world.

So sad to realise that these might be the worst times of modern progressive democracy in our country, seems we are reverting to the dark days before 1947.

Wow... how tactfully u put forth the questions and how cleverly but bluntly Justice Lokur answered them .... beautifully dodging that, perhaps notorious garb courts use not to put them in a Dock by a citizen even if they are grosly wrong, 'Contempt of Court'.

A humble salute to Justice Lokur as well as to you Karan for this outstanding interview. This interview will be quoted for decades exactly the way Karan your interview of Modi ji which he left midway when you pressed him for answer and he was caught on a wrong foot about his role in Gujarat genocide of Feb 2002! Karan you have made history twice whose baseline remained Gujarat genocide. 💕🇮🇳👌🎯🙏

They have shame to not put their names in judgment, But they do not have shame to doing injustice with an individual.

Where will Teesta find justice and from whom, because this court ( supreme) has shut door for her. Will she go to international court,. Subordinate courts have already been given. hint

Respected sir Why such cases can't be referred to a bigger bench of Honorable Supreme Court for review of judgement?
