hi, friend. How does the nylon come out in this trimmer, is it necessary to stop and remove the nylon manually?
@netman88 Жыл бұрын
Press the write 'line' and it will give more line.

I'm worried to get hand fatigue having to hold that safety button. Is there a way to bypass it with tape or other trick?

Not on my model.

There is some useful information in this video but one thing is not clear. Will the wheel on the front stop the line from hitting a wall, fence, or flowers? No line trimmer works well for edging which is why I bought a dedicated edger with a steel blade. If the wheel on this trimmer is just for edging then it will not work for me.

Yes, for the front stop question. Steel blade trimmer is best for edger but it's another tool to get.

Hi, how heavy is this trimmer?

It’s under 6 lbs with the battery on the unit

I have a brand new trimmer-edger. When I turn it on, it runs for 5 seconds then stops. It starts right back up, but it's still a pain. Any suggestions?

Fully charge up one of the batteries and try again.

This happens to me as well! I thought it might be the battery as well. I'll follow up.

Checked one out at Home Depot. Here are my thoughts on this model. Yours may differ. The angle for edging was not well thought out at the design stage. Try one out at the store first, you may find as I did that it's pretty uncomfortable to hold at the proper position and follow along. You can get some idea in this video. The designer may have had drug or alcohol problems, or could have been a nephew of one of the company executives, I'm not really certain. The only other combination trimmer/edger with a guide wheel they had at the store was a Ryobi 18v cordless, so I looked at that. When I flipped the head over to edger position, it felt correctly positioned for walking behind and very comfortable to hold while at the same time enabling me to easily view the cutting path from above, rather than trying to see the string to edge alignment from the middle of the sidewalk. I concluded that Ryobi apparently has a better grasp of ergonomics than B&D. I also have used a Worx trimmer/edger that was angled properly and comfortable to operate. So I strongly advise trying the positions out yourself on store displays before buying to be sure it's right for you.

I like this, but I wish it had a trigger lock so you didn't have to keep pushing the trigger the whole time you're using it. This makes my hands very fatigued.

Thanks for the comment maybe the vendor will see this feedback and add it.
