My pop uses his in his garage, Kinda like a vacuum cleaner, To clean up scraggler leaves, Light Dirt. Things like that, For the last four or five years, He uses it every day, And it works great for that., Today he bought me one for Father's Day. He surprised me with it from amazon, I've used it many, many times at his home, We also hang out in my garage, And i've been wanting one, I also use it for cleaning up the cat litter, That gets on the floor from their feet, So for the way my father and I use it., And vacuum only, We think it is pretty fantastic., Personally, I don't think it would be any good for anything else., Really enjoyed your video, I couldn't figure out how to take the fan cover off, That's what got me to your video, Anyways, thank you for sharing., I really enjoyed the part where the blower would not come on. Great honest review. I purchased based on Amazon reviews. I wish I had seen your video before opening the box and putting the sweeper tubes together. I cannot get them apart as I want to return this product. I can also see from your experience that my 80 year old hands will have a lot of trouble just removing the battery pack. I have several Black + Decker tools which is why I purchased this for vacuuming screened in porch. Will have to wait 2 weeks until my gardener is here to see if he can pull the tubes apart. Much appreciated.

It works good for vacuuming up pine needles and dry leaves on rock garden. I'm going to flatten the end of the vacuum tube so that it will fit inside roof gutters to suck up all the pine needles. Full charge lasts about 30 minutes at full speed.

I have 2 of these. Paid $5 and $10 at 2 different garage sales. The vacuum bagger blows balls. A lone blower is ok, but if you hold one in each hand and use them in tandem, the 2 blowers work great together. PS. The Black and Decker 40v weed eater is my favorite battery powered weed eater. Light, yet powerful enough for most grass.

This review was bang on!!! The blower does OK overall, but the vacuum sucks(or doesn’t)!!! Unfortunately, I had already bought this before seeing this video, but I am still in my return window and returning it if I am able to disassemble the vacuum!!!

The vacuum tube is not meant to be disassembled (I tried and gave up on it). I re-read the manual and it says so as well… packaging to return this is going to be weird :D

I own a lot of Black & Decker tools and I really like all of them, except this one. I spent an entire afternoon, shutting off the vacuum and pulling the smallest of twigs out of the impeller blade until I couldn't stand it another minute. I have native oak trees and a lot of leaves come off the tree with small twigs attached, and this vacuum can't handle the smallest of twigs without jamming up. In fact it can't handle a lot of things, like any damp leaves or a piece of mulch. I don't have time to sort out my leave debris , when I'm ready to vacuum, I want to get the job done and over with, not stop every other minute to clear the impeller blade. I still use Black & Decker but I use their corded one which does a great job. A lesson learned.

If you have large leaves it's not going to work. But I have a lot of fruit trees and others that have small leaves, like hand size or smaller and it works great. Best part is I have many rock beds, lava, white, gravel.. it's strong enough to take up the leaves but not the rocks, so I can clean the gravel area also. Cordless is great. Last like 20 min. I had no problem putting it together and it started right up. As long as the leaves are smaller than your hand, and totally dry it works great, plenty of power, doesn't clog. But Large maple leaves or similar won't work well, and if your dumb enough to try and vacuum wet leaves you deserve what you get.

This was an excellent video. Very well done. Before I watched it, I bought the equipment from Amazon. I opened the box and couldn't get it to work, just like in the video. I finally slammed the battery in and it worked. Then, I couldn't fit the vacuum tubes together and that's when I decided to go on KZbin and saw that someone with more expertise than I have had much the same problems. Anyway, well done. This was a very fair and well balanced presentation. This Black and Decker unit works well for me in Arizona as we do not have the same type of leaves in the video. Thanks for making this great video.

We have a lot of Eucalyptus leaves and seeds. The vac does fine except in the mulched flowerbeds. May have to option the mulch in future! I also had beaucoups trouble replacing the tubes. B&D should make the engineer who designed the tubes come around to our homes and replace them!

I have one of these because I have the other 40v tools. Weed eater, 22 inch hedge trimmer, chainsaw. This thing is awful. I have never used the vacuum part of it because the blower/sweeper part is soooooo weak. It has a hard time blowing helicopters down my paved driveway. The weed eater and hedge trimmers are great!

Because all blowers are the same. The real test is the vacuum capability.

I just got mine today and after charging it I tried using. Terrible product hardly have any vacuum at all as when you turn off the vacuum leaves just start rolling back out, and the blower is not as strong as the B&D 20V max cordless sweeper. Problem is I cannot disconnect the tubings as it is very tight. Will have to return it without disassembling. I don't want to cut myself trying to disconnect the tubing. Saw you having issue with the battery. You have to slammed the battery to connect.

I have this tool. Biggest waste of money. Low quality. Horrible performance. I keep power level on 6, and it barely blows away debris off my driveway. The mulcher is even worse. Easily gets clogged. Since it has a plastic mulching rotor inside. The vacuum capability is very weak. I just ordered the more powerful B&D corded electric Blower/Mulcher with backpack.

Piles of leaves often have dust and mold spores in and around them. The catch bag for the leaves does not filter those spores but, rather, launches them into the air 12-18 inches below the users face. I choose to wear a simple particulate filtering mask to avoid getting a sinus infection.
