It works good for vacuuming up pine needles and dry leaves on rock garden. I'm going to flatten the end of the vacuum tube so that it will fit inside roof gutters to suck up all the pine needles. Full charge lasts about 30 minutes at full speed.

You are welcome, Ed! After this video was posted, I called Black & Decker and received a replacement for the battery. This is actually a nice product. The first battery was bad but the replacement great.

How long does the battery last when using to vacuum leaves?

The battery that came with this Blower/Vac that I purchased 3 years ago is B&D Lithium 40V 1.5AH Model LBX1540 with the charger. According to B&D "The BLACK+DECKER LBX1540 40-Volt MAX Lithium Ion Battery, 1.5 Ah has been formulated for longer runtime and improved performance. These batteries will a charge for up to 500 days between uses, but will need to be recharged before use after that time." This statement is true. As far as how long this charge last, I sweep leaves in my garage, driveway and walkway for about 20 to 40 minutes and there's always charge or juice left. I put it back in the charger and take it out when full and leave it on the counter. The last time I did this was way back in October of this year. I checked this out this morning, the light indicator was still showing 3 bars lighted. As a habit, I always put this back in the charger before I use it so I don't waste time.

Interesting that the model number includes V36, which I would think stands for 36 volts, but yet they call it a 40 volt machine !

I bought this (came without the battery and charger...FAIL) and it only runs for 3 seconds at a time. Probably taking it back

You can return it for replacement. You were probably just unlucky to get a defective one. Mine is working just fine when the battery was replaced almost 2 years ago.

Useless product, also sweeper tube is hard to disassemble when trying to put it back in the box. It's the first B & D device that fails on me.

It has been useful for me. The only thing that I had a problem with was the defective battery that came with the product which I showed on the video. The company replaced it and it is still working at this time. I just used it to sweep the leaves this afternoon. The battery last long if fully charged. I'm glad it's working out for you. Mine is very weak, the battery seems to be ok. It was never working but to put it back was so difficult and I forgot about it. Note, I got it from Amazon. This was the B&D tool that's not working for me, I'm B&D nuts😁

How do you disassemble the tubes? It’s extremely difficult to disconnect the tubes once they are connected!

@@prograham2222 Very difficult. You need two hands to squeeze and a third hand to pull. I managed to squeeze them with a vice grip or a clamp, it's crazy - they really don't want you to return this thing!
