Just go buy the wix/Napa filter head. Bought 2 of em on eBay for $30 each. Made in USA. I’m currently buying my fittings for my setup rn on ebay & Amazon.

Cool idea. I would like to see it work. I have been trying to come up with a better way of filtering my black diesel. Definitely post a vid of it in use please.

What truck/engine you run on black diesel and what percentage of the WMO?? I'm making filtration setup for WMO so I'm curious. I have old 2.5 turbo diesel Jeep and when it's not cold I run it on 100% vegetable oil. Works great! I believe there should be no difference with WMO.

V8AmericanMuscleCar my 7.3 idi on the Ford F-250 runs kitchen grease and motor oil, without modifications to the truck it only needs gasoline to thin it down 1 part gasoline to 4 parts used motor oil/tranny fluid/gear oil/break fluid, and 1 part gasoline to 3 part kitchen grease, no mods on the truck. Filtering has been my ONLY problem as sharing a shop with a carpenter is a big Nono.

@@JohnCamp Get a Centrifuge from a semi. Get a Gear pump To pump it through the centrifuge. Go to a large truck Wrecker
@JohnCamp2 жыл бұрын
@@openyoureyes3113 I have both a bowl (for honey) and bulb (from a bypass oil filter) centrifuges. They work, but the cost of electricity is just too high. I’ll be building an air compressor powered refinery setup that pushes the oil thru a toilet paper filter, then a 1 micron fuel filter.
@JohnCamp2 жыл бұрын
@@openyoureyes3113 asides the air compressor and filters I will have a modified old hot water tank capable of handling 40PSI and mount it to the bed of my truck. So the same tire inflator pump can refine my fuel on the fly. Just pack extra TP rolls and a spare 1 micron failsafe filter.

I like it. Curious why fuel filters were chosen instead of oil filters? What are the pros and cons of each when cleaning WMO?
@iBLOODBATHproduction2 жыл бұрын
Diesel filters go down to a lower micron and the housings are generally sized for a large fuel filter. Fuel filters are also designed for open loop (you are adding new fuel every time) oil filters are for closed loop (same oil going threw over and over, not as dirty).
