I have been hassled & hustled by my city for not paying a certain tax for being an "independent contractor" (I dropped of lime scooters for a month). Best thing, it was from like 5 years ago & if I didn't pay up the $60-70 they wanted, I would be charged more. State always takes more than federal too, if you live in a state that takes income tax.
