BTTF2 is "convoluted" within its own narrative/trilogy arc. Sure it doesn't mean it's the most complicated time travel movie ever made, but not all time travel movies need to be at Primer level to be labeled as convoluted IMO.

Good review. It still kills me that they cast a white looking Jesus. At this point, most scholars, even religious ones agree he wouldn’t have looked like the Renaissance white long hair man, but most likely had short hair as was common for Jewish men back then, especially Jewish men from judea.

Ha ha they didn't go out of way to not offend Muslims lol If that was the case they wouldn't have made the leader of the team that wanted to kill Jesus a Muslim in the first place. Why make him a Muslim to begin with? Having a voice over that says that he is an extremist and doesn't represent all Muslims is good but it doesn't make up for what was stupid and no doubt offensive to begin with. I'm not even a Muslim and I'm not overly pc but I'm a bit surprised that anyone would so dumb and insensitive as to include such a thing in a film. Why would any Muslim, extremist or not think it would be a good idea to kill Allah's number 2 prophet and mess with Allah's plan in a way that future Muslims would no longer believe Jesus was a prophet? It's ludicrous and one of the dumbest things I've seen in a film. Any Muslim who would knowingly try to kill Jesus would be completely nuts 😂 Oh well.

Totally feel you bro, but maybe you are overthinking a movie about a bunch of people that travel thru time to kill JC 😂 With a premise like that I think there is no point in trying to rationalize the script's logics or politics. Perhaps one of those love it or hate it kinda movies. Thanks for stoping by!
