I discovered Molly Tuttle about 2 months ago and she is a phenomenal guitar player and a beautiful person, but I'm fascinated by the wonderfully beautiful Lena Jonsson on fiddle. Lovely beyond words.

The more I watch videos of this group the more I admire their musical abilities, and the great togetherness in their playing. In this song, I am really impressed with the banjo solo by Allison. She is definitely one of the best banjo players.

Well, it's just a banjo, but it has no resonator and she is playing "claw hammer".

Yes, she's playing an openback and possibly with nylon strings for that thumpier old time sound. Most of us probably think of a bright, steel string resonator bluegrass banjo sound when thinking of the instrument.
