I've managed to put around a 1000km's on these beefy Black Forest Industries - Stage 2 - Engine and Transmission Mounts so I figured I'd provide you guys a more detailed review on how I'm enjoying them. Once the drag strip opens up again I think these mounts are going to help my launch and gear changes tremendously in the 1/4 mile.

It’s amazing how much the engine weight has an effect on the feel of the car, I recall how harsh one of my older cars was on expired OEM mounts, then on new OEM mounts it removed all engine vibration and rough parts of roads were buttery smooth, poly mounts will definitely make it ride like a brick and strain components more, maybe even find some new rattles, that’s the potential considerations, happy with that... go for it.

I have BFI stage 1 mounts. They are wonderful! Can’t imagine stage 2. I get the same exact vibration when engine breaking. Very noticeable right at 2000 rpms. AWESOME VIDEO!!

I went with the 034 ones and yes the NVH is really lol but i love it.

be careful with the 034, i hit one big bump and the rubbers are trashed in the dogbone mount. switching inserts with bfi stg 2 now (i only had them for 3 months before failure)

i actually just replaced the inserts, the bfi stg 2's are practically solid rubber. The 034s 3 months old i can bend in my palms. this is on a 2.0 mk4 golf so im curious how they even failed its practically stock motor

Thanks, those M5's are monsters but weigh a ton! If you're okay with switching sides from BMW to Audi and losing some interior space, the RS3 is a true weapon.

Something in my gli is wiping out my 034 mounts in 3 months and it's making me crazy. Feels like a wandering wheel and I've spent thousands trying to figure it out. I'm stage 2 so it's not all that crazy with power but this may be my next step. Otherwise I'm going to shoot it with everything and post a video lol.

Hey so this is a bit off topic but I'm currently looking to get some iroz catch cans and have read that catch cans aren't recommended to use during winter times and would need to be removed so that the lines dont freeze . Given your location I'm assuming it gets below freezing and was wondering if you remove them for the colder winter months ? Thank you for all of the content and keep up the videos we all appreciate and enjoy them very much.

Thanks for watching! I never remove my catch cans. It doesn't get overly cold here in Vancouver. I'm not sure at what temperature they recommend you don't use them. I've never looked into it before, sorry.

Already stage 2 in my mk6 gti but your boy just got a legit borg Warner K04 turbo with IE intake manifold and these mounts, then I got the southbend stage 2 endurance clutch with a short shifter! To say the least I cannot wait for all my parts to come in. Should make a fatass difference

The transmission and axles might take more of a hit now because less flex.. what the torque limit on the axles and transmission??.. thanks for keeping us updated. Oh can we have some dragy runs

Torque limit on axles and transmission I don't know and hopefully I don't find out. Dragy runs are coming this weekend.

Hank only started breaking axles at 800+. The trans is fine sans clutches at also 800+ since Adam is at 550 he's fine.

Hi Adam, I am debating between the street 034 motorsports engine mounts for my TTRS and street version of the Black forest mounts. Any idea which is best? What's your opinion? Thanx.

I've never used the 034 engine and trans mounts so I can't comment. All I know is I managed to destroy 2 of their dogbone mounts so I won't be using any more of their products. So far, so good with the BFI mounts. Everything is locked down and stiff AF.

Hi Adam Maybe a stupid question here lol. Im running a 3 inch turbo inlet and a 3 inch intake on my rs3. What do you think is a better upgrade for now.. Getting the bfi mount set(probably stage 1) or upgrading to a 4 inch intake and turbo inlet?? Im currently stage 2 E85 uni tune to give you an idea the power my car currently makes. In the future ill probably have both upgrades but im not sure whats my next move for now Thanks

100% the upgraded 4 inch turbo inlet is your best "bang for your buck" mod on that list. Save the mounts for later. If you're trying to go faster, the 4 inch upgrade should make more of a difference.

I daily drive in Individual mode to get rid of them. When I'm tearing up back roads though I leave the car in full Dynamic.
