Great video, I have the BFI mounts on my Golf R. I went stage 1 as it's a year round daily and if people are looking for something a little less aggressive they are perfect, the only time you feel a difference is when the car is in reverse. Keep up the great work, even though I don't have an RS3 (yet) I like seeing what you are doing with the platform.

Thank you very much. Just from the small amount of driving I've done so far I would agree that the Stage 1 mounts are probably perfect for the majority of people that want increased performance and not a ton of NVH.

I hope so too! I'm sure they didn't think that so many people would be using Iroz oil catch cans on this platform and figured they could remove that.

@@VancityAudi they are the same with the Golf R mounts, the engine mount has a stud on it from factory and it's not on the BFI and many aftermarket catch cans mount there. So they probably won't change them.

That was an unused bung from factory, which is why it was omitted. We have already made a revision to the top plate to allow for that bung location and will be sending one out to @Vancity Audi shortly

Did he just use that engine hoist to support the engine when he pulled the mounts out, or did he have something underneath as well?

He just used an engine support bar. Nothing was underneath. Keep in mind, you do one mount at a time.

I installed the 034 street mounts and I can undoubtably back you up on the NVH. Its soo bad in my RS3 when at idle. Like he said if you don't like NVH then its not the upgrade for you. It was so bad in mine I thought it was a bad clutch/flywheel.

The feedback I've received from viewers is the 034 are worse than the BFI for NVH

What is the difference between version 1 and version 2 for the BFI mounts?

Version 2 are stiffer and meant for track use. Version 1 are geared towards aggressive street use.

Are you going to compare these to the 034 mounts that Malaka motor-sports has been testing...? I noticed that the 034 are swappable without replacing the whole mount, just the carrier portion with the flex cartridge.

You can also interchange the BFI bushings from Stage 2 to Stage 1 (vice versa) should you want to. They are sold separately

They won't work for your car, seeing as it has a different engine & transmission

You don't. Just ask BFI for the updated top hat and they will send you one with the proper connection for the Iroz catch can too

I'll pass. The Stage 2 mounts are plenty stiff. Stage 3 would just be overkill in my opinion.

the greens stage 2 isnt really that solid. i plan on changing my green ones on my audi to a solid aluminum insert. just need to remove the green ones and get some custom metal bushings.

Wow, if you don't think they are solid I'd hate to ride in your cars, lol. They lock the engine down big time and feel WAY more solid then the OEM mounts
