We were in Todtmoos for 2 nights on our RT ( from Gibraltar ) 3rd of June and got soaked in a heavy shower,, really enjoyed the roads and couldn't believe how many bikes there also doing the same. Great review on the K1600, think I might have to arrange a test drive with my local dealer soon,, cheers for now.

Sounds great! We really enjoyed our recent trip to Gibraltar-such a great place! We haven't actually tried the RT but I reckon it's probably an awesome touring bike. The k1600 is for sure worth a test ride -that 6 cylinder engine is a lot of fun! =) Cheers and catch you again.

It is really nice to get the views from the pillion, as that is all ways forgotten. So a bug thanks to Emily... I am thinking about visiting that area next week or so, and you have given me some great ideas. My little Forza 350 will be more than enough to get me around the black forest, I am sure. Nice video guys... I will be following you both on your coming adventures. If you are ever headed to the Netherlands then let me know. I moved to Gouda from the UK 6 years ago.. What a great place to ride. Interesting that you’re looking to get back on the GSA after riding this 2-up. I have a 1250 GSA that I love, plus a HD Road Glide Limited. Thinking of either an RT or GTL to maybe replace both bikes.

Hi, Yeah it was a lot of fun and it's on our doorstep! We have toured with the GSA for many years and it just suits us perfectly, That's a cool line up you have there =) I think maybe (although i've not ridden it) that the RT would be a good bike to replace those 2 bikes -i hear a lot of good things about it. Hoping to take the RT out this year sometime. Cheers Buddy

In tight turns, how is it related to gsa??? Also on the subject of windshield also related to gsa??? thanks
@SeanandEmily
@SeanandEmily 9 ай бұрын
Personally (having ridden a GSA for many years so very familiar with it) i find the GSA a lot more nimble in the tight turns -probably due to it's wheel base, but on the fast sweeping bend the K1600 is completely planted! As for the wind blast i would say that the K1600 offered better wind protection -especially at higher speeds (but being 6'2'' my head tends to be above the wind shield anyway. I hope that helps and you enjoy the rest of the channel. Cheers Sean and Emily

Hello Sean and Emily. In this video between 11:35 and 15:05, you are riding on a road that i've riden on around 10 years ago (maybe even longer) and i really loved that road. Hi, we were only testing a press bike from BMW and the GTL was not available. We totally agree that if you are two up there is no point in having the models without the back box/rest. As much as this bike is awesome with super smooth power delivery we were happy to get back on out R1250GSA. As our travels take us on poor roads and occasional tracks we wouldn’t consider changing. However for main routes on smooth tarmac it was a lot of fun -although sometimes too smooth if that’s possible. My dream location to ride. So pretty and nice roads. The BMW is not my bike though. In my opinion the big tourers are the most boring bikes you can get. No matter the brand. Sounds like someone farting in a can and just whining from the engine. But whatever makes you happy. For me it's the wind, feeling of the bike disappearing beneath you, that flying feeling of a super naked. Yeah it's more of an effort sitting in the windblast but for me that is riding. 😁
@SeanandEmily
@SeanandEmily 10 ай бұрын
Hi, yeah these roads were lots of fun for sure! The K1600 is not actually our bike but we borrowed it for this short tour. It's an amazing engine and is really smooth and you can lower the screen right down to get the wind in your face but i do understand where you are coming from. I recently rode the M1000R and i can really see the appeal of a super naked -it was awesome!! Our bike is the R1250 GSA as it's perfect for the really long tours we do riding two up with all our gear. But yeah each to there own =) Cheers! Sean and Emily

@Sunrazor 10 ай бұрын
@@SeanandEmily Yeah for those long trips I can really see that a Tourer may even be necessary. Riding 400-500km in a day on my bike would probably be tiring. The most boring bike I have tried was the FJR. It was perfect. Smooth, strong, no vibrations, comfortable etc. But it had no character. It just existed. Probably the perfect motorcycle in many ways. But it made it bland. But every biker to their own. Enjoy your rides. Great videos 😊👍
