Everyone falls for the 12% means one in every 8 ships meme.. No.. Each container has a 12% chance.. it only has a 1 in 8 chance to get a ship and the same for the next and the next.. ALL have the same 12% or 1 in 8 chance.. the percentage does not go up with each container opened.. Hence the pity mechanic being used.. and as far as i can see all the ships are rigged too as everyone is getting the same ships first.. they pulled this crap years ago.. i guess they just wont change.. I totally get statistics. I had a semester of it in college. I get that there are statistic trees, like how you have a 50% chance of sharing a birthday with someone if there are only 23 people in a room. Theres always a possibility for the inconceivable like having 100 people in a room that you don't share a birthday with, but the likelihood is you will. My problem with the statistics I encountered is that I triggered the pity mechanic on every ship. That is a statistical impossibility. I pretty much rolled 40 containers with no ships when I should have a 12% chance. Its statistically impossible.

If you spin a wheel 40 times and it has a 12% of landing on a certain slice it is entirely possible to never land on it, it’s 12 percent every single time. It’s unlikely to never land on it but very possible, that is the problem with these incredibly expensive containers

Compare it to other hobbies though. There's a reason there are sayings such as; "The only way to become a millionaire playing with cars is to start out as a billionaire". This is a hobby to many people, including me. Will I ever get my money back out of it? no. But thats not the point.

Dude, open them in bulk. I think its gonna calculate differently. I opened 25 -> got 4 ships, again 25 -> 4 ships, again 25 -> 3 ships. The first 2x25 where great. First 25 -> yoshino + massachusetts + atago + saipan. Second 25 -> Napoli + Mainz + Cossack + Kaga. Third -> Brandenberg + Alabama + Tirpitz. Arround 300K ++ free exp. Around 700k commander exp. About 100 + Credits, Commander. Around 200 ship exp and around 80 free exp blue flags. Great yield overall, just a bit frustrated with the last 25 where i didnt get a single usable ship ..

That might be something to look at for the santa's gift containers, if bulk opening yields better results than individually opening. I personally do not think it affects it in any way shape or form, but I may be wrong. it has been known to happen from time to time.

Control yourself, and don't spend real money on ships, you can obtain for free. Brisbane B is just a Brisbane in a black camo. If you want a black Brisbane, get the normal one for coal (you may have to save up for that) and then add a black camo for credits.

Well after blowing your wad you got the ship you rarely play, dont need, already had, strange how people do this. You admit you dont play one Bne, so you wont play 2 now, awesome.

I got it for 3 reasons. The first being that next year, I don't need to make up for this year's deficiency. The second, I have an opportunity to build the same ship in 2 different ways. I did this on my pommern where I have one that is a primarily secondary ship and another where I built into main guns. Lastly, you get rewards for having ships in your port. The more ships, the more rewards for events such as the Anniversary Event and Snowflake Event. I know the rewards are minimal; however, I have no intention of stopping playing this game anytime soon so I can look forward to more rewards in the future. Hopefully enough to pay it off.

Man, i played this game for one year and opened containers a lot (not as much as you, but a lot), i saw many videos about game and understood, than earlier the game was good, maybe 2-4 years ago. Now they are So GREEDY. FCK, they made a campaign Halloween named Greedy Jack. Really? They are laughing on us. Very greedy game

They have come back around a bit. They are still greedy, but have gotten better. They at least post odds and probabilities now. I've been playing this game since 2016. Back in the day, you didn't know anything. Everything had to be data mined. And when it was, it was kept hush hush. There used to be a trick to make doubloons from opening containers. I would recommend looking at iChase Gaming. He made a video on it. Thats why we can only open 100 containers at a time now, to make it so you cannot make money on it. I was around when Missouri was first released. It was datamined about the economy, as soon as the bluster got too loud, WG pulled it overnight. I was planning on saving up and getting it, but was unable to.

This is my hobby. Investing in your hobby is not a bad thing. I know people with train sets that they've spent thousands on that have a resale value in the hundreds. When you invest in your hobby, you are not expecting to get the money back out.
