He's a liar. Black people have been going to China for centuries. Also the Chinese have taken many things from parts of different African cultures. He said he never saw a Black person. Then has the nerve to say and she''s so tall. Well most Africans and Europeans are tall. Many Asians are not tall. There are exceptions but the fact is he lied. Chinese have migrated to many continents over the centuries also. North America, South America, Europe, Australia etc. Even the older lady didn't say something so dumb. This is why it's key to know the language wherever you may be. Even though I don't know many languages I can always pick up on when people are talking about me. I have traveled to countries on 5 of the 7 continents. Excluding Australia and Antarctica. Australia is my next trip. Chinese are deep there.

I'm a black American living in Sydney, Australia. I live in a heavily Chinese-populated suburb. Been here for 5 years. I still get stared at sometimes like I'm a unicorn. I stare back. Most will look away after being caught staring while others will commence a staring contest. I usually win. 😜 Or, if 2 or more get in an elevator/lift together they'll start whispering in Chinese (most likely Mandarin) and, even though I don't know Chinese, I certainly know they're talking about me. 🙄 Sometimes I'll just say something to make them think I know what they're saying 😆 I'm not rude about it. Might ask them, "How are you?" or something like that. Then they get quiet. 🤣

A few years ago I spent three months in Melbourne visiting my daughter, who was living and studying there, her neighbour apparently thought she was from an African country, so her statement to my daughter was ' your mom is visiting you from Africa' . The neighbour was a Middle Eastern woman, so she assumed, I was from an African country because I am black, because Australia has a lot of persons from all over Africa.

The reason why other people have a negative attitudes about Black people is because they may have seen American television or visited a place where the only Black people they saw were poor. Many Americans, both Black. White, or any other race of people, have no idea how life is in Africa countries. I have heard negative things and good things by watching KZbin. As a Black (African American) there are some good Black KZbinrs who have ventured into African countries. One man, whose name I can't remember now, stopped Kenyans on the street and asked them what they thought about American Black people, and if they think Black Americans should travel there. I was quite pleased by the responses. One lady said that they wouldn't know that you're American by seeing you, so you would be treated like one of them. And then they would try to get to know you. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. Like I mentioned in another comment, you are a very beautiful and smart woman. Keep doing what you're doing, whatever it is. You will be successful in your career and life. You could be my second...ok, maybe third "adopted" daughter from the continent. I have a young lady who I admire and helped financially before. Why? Because she was like you. She was very ambitious and smart. I want to see her succeed.

My son stayed in China for school for a semester, but he didn’t master the language of course. Still, when we go to Chinese restaurants🤣he can hold it down to a limited extent. He is a 6’4 Black man and sweet as can be. The Chinese people loved him! A Chinese girl even fell in love with him, and her parents accepted him totally. Alas, we cautioned him to wait until he had more world experience to marry and to this day he regrets not marrying her. I still keep one of her gifts to me that I treasure.
