This song was released when I was in Junior High School. The homeroom teacher will let us from time to time bring vinyl records to school and have a bit of a party. A classmate named Paulette brought the record to school for one of our little jam sessions. She put the record on the portable record player and then stood in front of my desk. When the intro to the song started, she pointed her finger at me and started doing the penguin.

@Harlemheat69 oh shit! You all were killing it!! And were an inspiration to me as I was learning to smash in the circles. Those were the days! People don't know what they missed! Magical times.

I pretty much remember the whole song was played in a jam, or at least most of it it wasn't just the drum break, but the guitar riff at the start would get the 135th street Y HOPPING... this is back in the mid 80's... needless to say this is one of my favorite cuts of all time - in it's entirety... unedited.

Only DJ's and Emcees from the late 70's to early mid 80's in NYC even know this song (and it's break) exist, minus their natural fans!! Rare Rare Classic There was a rap group in the early 80s that made a song off of this. Could have been the Funky Four?
