I applied for Aviation/ Aircraft Maintainence as my MOS for my contract. I will go through Airborne school, and will try out for special forces training once. I used to be in the USNSCC(United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps) when I was age 15-16 and the majority of the staff are military veterans and I participated in training with active duty USCG personel and USCG Auxillary. I'm not a typical delusional teenager that thinks military life is like Call of Duty.

Mate, what job are you going to do in the army? I served in the Australian army back in 2002 as a rifleman and lost a leg in a roadside bomb. I played Counterstrike as a kid and thought, I could be that person. Before you join, make sure you know what you're doing. I didn't. :)

If you get in, maybe try and get the position of translator seeing as you're good with 3 different languages. Also, I knew a Russian who was ex-Spetsnaz and he fought in Afghanistan in 1988. @newmimd You can't just stem the problem in your own country, it sounds cliche but you have to cut the problem at the root. ALso, countries like the UK and US have an obligation to help other countries as we're better off. You only see the wars but I bet you arn't aware the Army build Schools, Hospitals, Wells, Villages, Government buildings, supply food, set up drainage, irrigation, communications and electricity lines.

Actually they were Pakistani UN, and majority of the armor that came (the tanks) belonged to the US Army 10th Mountain Division. The whole operation was a pretty big cluster-fuck on everyone's part.

@newmimd Where the government comes into play does not matter. The only thing that matters is that the government did not provide them with AC-130 oversight or armor back up but with a couple little birds. The politics that go on behind close doors arent a soldiers concern only when they go against the fundamental beliefs of that they joined up for including the defense of the constitution, american citizens, and freedom should they step up against their government.

The comment I posted to you wasn't an opinion, it was fact. In order to make it into any branch of the military, you must be a High School graduate and pass the ASVAB test with 30s(Depends on branch) and to become an officer you have to graduate from college. It is extremely hard to get in the military and there are only 2 million troops compared to our population of 300 million. So you are wrong, our soldiers are some of the most intelligent people in the world.

When your in the military, you form a bond like no other and you talk to fellow veterans that you can relate to about their experiences. Atleast try to check out Buds131 channel because he has some better insight into this than me. I'm already filling out paperwork to join the Army National Guard, although my ASVAB scores for my math aren't that good so that holds me back but I will be in BCT very soon.

Explain to me why you need to be a collage graduate to become an officer in the military. They are the exact opposite to what you say they are.
