When I watched this, I cried because I felt a heavy feeling towards all the soilders who stepped into the battlefield. Those soilders sacrificed themselves for their friends, family and country..... just for our future and freedom. They sacrificed thier today for our tommorrow. We all should give them honor and gratitude.

Adam Daniel Agree. People in the comments should stop making boy vs girl or stuff and appreciate the sacrifices that people made to give us a today. They just don’t get that this whole video might just be a video but it has a meaning. War is avoidable. And if it created then stop it. If we don’t we must appreciate the many people that fight because not what is in front of them but what is behind

War is the most conflicting occurrence imaginable. At the same time it's a demonstration of the ultimate bravery to risk your life for what you believe in and a demonstration of the ultimate failure of having no other option. It's a display of incredible ingenuity that leads us to many inventions, while being a display of the utmost stupidity. It's cooperation at its highest level, while being a disagreement between parties of the highest order. Truly, what is the human condition, if not war?

I will lay down my life to defend my country, family, brothers and sisters without hesitation and my brothers and sisters will do the same. @@omskayawithout the Lend Lease program through the Americans the Soviet Union wouldn’t have had enough materials, machines, and other essential wartime items to keep their armies supplied and mobile. @@Eric0225 I never said that the Soviet army and civilian population didn’t sacrifice more than any other Allied nation, you said that. All I said is that without American manufacturing support the Soviets may not have won which nobody who served in the Soviet army during WW2 denied but current Russian leaders certainly downplay or pretend like it wasn’t a big factor in the Red Army defeating the Nazis in WW2. Let’s not forget that most European Armies were still mainly horse powered at the outbreak of hostilities in WW2 including the Soviets and the US giving the Soviets thousands of Studebaker trucks changed the logistical capabilities of the Soviets when those trucks arrived along with many other war machines as well.

What I most admire is the Soviet Union and Australia’s treatment of Japanese prisoners of war: 1. The Soviet Union tortured 600,000 Japanese prisoners of war, and fewer than 50,000 survived in the end 2. Australia did not accept the fact that Japan surrendered unconditionally, and directly killed all 170,000 Japanese surrenderers. It did not accept it until later, but those 170,000 people had died long ago. If your history teacher didn't tell you this, I'll tell you Japan conducted a war of aggression rather than a war to defend its own country, and it should be punished Japan now (2023) continues to break through the pacifist constitution, raise taxes, expand its military and prepare for war. If Japan provokes a war again, Japan will withstand more nuclear weapons attacks, and Japan as a country will no longer exist.

Excellent, really. In this time when the word "Epic" has been so devaluated and misused, *THIS* is epic and a real tribute to all brave fighting men, regardless they were allied or axis, Americans or Soviets, Germans or Nippon. They all deserve honor and glory, they all had their share of suffering, and not only them but their families, Mothers, Wives, Sweethearts, Children, they all were Heroes at Home, suffering the burden of war, so bravely too. Thank you for uploading this, this really elevates the heart and soul. 👍👍👍👍👍 ❤ ❤ ❤

World War Two - what an amazing, terrifying, glorious, agonizing, hubris time to have been alive. I rode the Victory Tour B17G this summer (just two days before the other B17G crashed in Connecticut). There was absolutely NOTHING comfortable about that plane. Everything was hard. Everything was cold. It was loud, DEAFENING! It shook, vibrated, and jostled. The wind for take-off was less than ideal, and the plane bucked, pissed, and moaned until it was airborne. My brother and I sat in the bomber seats. That large Plexiglas screen was the only thing between us and the air. A small portal was opened and you could stick your hand through, feeling the wind whizzing by. That plane had two purposes - defend itself as best as it could (machine gun sticking out of every window - and delivering those bombs. That's it. EVERYTHING else was expendable, including the crew! It was the most profound experience I've had in my life. And it made me acquire an even deeper respect for our armed airmen, servicemen and women. In WWII, we asked them to do . . . . the IMPOSSIBLE, frankly, and those boys did it! We, ALL of us spoiled rotten brats owe them more than we could ever pay. My deepest heart felt respect to ALL of you men AND women who paid for our freedom with everything you had. A million Thank Yous are not enough!!
