You know what's wild is that what we're hearing isn't the true sound that NASA captured. The sound they captured was many many octaves lower, which they had to make many octaves higher for us to be able to hear. Which means that if you were approaching a black hole, you wouldn't hear this as much as you would *feel* it! That to me is terrifying lol

As the sound goes from one ear to other and back, you gaze at the video. Trying to think of something that nobody has ever thought of, it feels dreamy. You could put anything over this sound. We could all be wrong though, get it? Life, aliens, space matter they don't have to be 'alive' in a sense we perceive them. Its such an achievement to be able to hear something like this. Singularity? We're missing something, everything can be explained sometimes you just have to think outside the realm of reality and venture into craziness. In any case massive props to scientists studying this shit, I wouldn't want to study this stuff like ever. All those how big is the universe videos, multiverse theories, decay, freeze, heat death, the big crunch. But we're going there, slowly digging the truth, at this point why even stop. I like to believe that the buzzing/humming sounds that comes in and out intermittently is material in the accretion disk getting vaporized as it smashes against other slower (or faster) moving material within the disk. Think of a table saw or chop saw and the sound it makes as the spinning blade hits the material on the work surface. Very similar!
