I'm 24 years old with bipolar disorder and ADHD, medicated half of my life and struggling with alcoholism from a young age. I've pushed away many valuable people from my life, feeling like I'm not worth of any help. "don't hold on to me" is painfully accurate. but I strive to be better every day. I wish I could have found out about you girls sooner, this song quickly became a personal favorite. keep creating art and touching people's hearts. saludos desde Puebla de los Ángeles 🫂

Just imagine, she wrote this at 13 years old after reading a newspaper article, and was able to write it from the perspective of the addict. Says a lot about the talent and maturity she brings had even back then. If this made you get the feelies, have a look at the version she did at the Pepsi Center in2023, just her on a piano and a string section. And then watch her play ‘Breathe’ at the same concert. Somehow there’s always someone near me chopping onions when I watch that one.

Pau needs to be convinced to perform Black Holes, Breathe, Show Me The Light on her keyboards in a concert even if that implies she will break down and the rendering may not be perfect. She has performed while crying last year. "Do you know how difficult it is to cry and play the drums" she told the crowd. The Warning should redo their old songs live with the kind of instruments & budget they have now. These are absolute jewels that should not be allowed to fade into oblivion. The girls should sit down with Jason Flom of Lava Records, if necessary.

@richardkron Жыл бұрын
That's exactly what happened. And Dany broke down while doing a solo of When I'm Alone. That completely broke the flood control of my eyes. When you see a musician become emotional while trying to perform flawlessly in front of their fans that's because they are looking and listening to their fans in admiration and thinking about all the sacrifices they have made over the years. The Warning is already in my top ten of all time and climbing the rankings with each live performance. Best band of the XXI Century! God I love them.
@MrSudeepdas Жыл бұрын
@@nancyrodriguez813 Thank you. Yeah, I saw their full production concerts, thanks to fan cams posted by so many wonderful souls. Never thought that my wish (and I am sure 1000s of other fans as well) will come true so quickly. It was a beautifully poignant moment at Pepsi Center. And on top of that Dany broke down in Monterrey. She was close to tears in Madrid when the Spaniards joined in for When I Am Alone. BTW I had said in various posts that Pau should run for president. Her charisma on stage and her ability to connect with people with such conviction is mark of a true leader. It may happen in another 40 years. Hope you will remember our conversation because I won't be around then.
@MrSudeepdas Жыл бұрын
@@richardkron Yeah, didn't expect my wishful thinking to materialize so quickly. Dany was close to tears in Madrid as well when the Spaniards joined in for When I Am Alone. It was the fans singing with them that got both the sisters. They are so humble that they still can't believe people from all over the world sing their songs. The girls are among my all time favourites as well. Best intellectual band to emerge since the 80s in terms of their insightful metaphorical lyrics. In fact, they have made me look at old songs in a different manner. Was the solo too long? Was it necessary? Was the drummer showing off? 😂😂😂

I'm a granddad rock guy. I've seen the old gods live in their youth. I've mixed a lot of shows. In the last decade, I stumbled upon young Adele, The Pretty Reckless, Larkin Poe and now The Warning. I listen to LP and TW the most. Pau is a monster. My buddy tours with one of the old gods. He thinks that all music after Judas Priest is garbage. But, after pointing him to some videos, he allows that Pau is pretty good for her age. Ha!

@@rexwave4624 Wow, great playlist, I've been a devoted fan of The Warning for at least five years now, just discovered The Pretty Reckless and Devora (one of The Warning's cover bands on tour). I have now met the girls three times, once on line in a live chat and twice attending their concerts in Portland and Phoenix, have two guitars signed by all three girls, and lyrics to Black Holes written for me by Pau. Old guy here, too, I'm 66, and was lucky enough to see Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble three times live in small venues during their Texas Flood tour in 1983-1984 -- and The Warning is the most exciting band I've seen live since then. Their sheer power, magnetism and stage presence is astounding in person. Finally, another Larkin Poe Fan! Another sister group that absolutely kills it! Rebecca and Megan are my other favorite band right now. Keep rocking!

*THE WARNING, FANTÁSTICAS* *THE WARNING, MARAVILLOSAS* ¡¡¡¡ *BIENVENIDAS SIEMPRE*, al próximo *FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DEL ROCK AL PARQUE EN BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA*. En el año 2019 fueron las mejores entre 58 bandas. Y las únicas chavitas. Y les dieron cátedra musical a todos.
