Dance transcends the cultures. You feel the music and your body takes over. Regardless of where the music comes from. I dance to any type of music. Excellent.

Ms Kaitlyn, you dance beautifully and we love the Irish dance steps they were spot on. A few people seem to forget that all dances are rooted from one culture where some moved across the now continents. Just appreciate the talent of others and life will be much better.

This is so cool! Back in 2019, I went to Ireland and watched the Irish dancers. Years before, I had seen Riverdance. I love Irish dancing, and, as one who has taken dance lessons, I respect how unique and challenging it is. Kudos to this woman for merging different genres of dance. Truly innovative and a joy to watch.

This reminds me of one of my favorite dance movies, "Strictly Ballroom". Austrailian comedy. The lead dancer wants to add his own moves to the world of ballroom competitions and the result is fantastic.

The beauty of dance is there is no color. Only music, rhythm, and your heart. The rest is NOISE ! Dancing is how we the dancers tell you how we feel.

I am so TOTALLY happy see this beautiful black young lady dance the Irish dancing. I always knew we could do it and she showed what I always knew. You don’t have to be Irish to do this type of dance, you just do it because you can and that you like it. You go girl. I love Riverdance and Micheal Flatley…

Around the 1770s a lot of black brown people,Moors, from England and Ireland were shipped out as indentured servants to Barbados and some were sent to Jamestown Virginia. So it's very possible that African-Americans would have some Irish heritage.

Very true! I have Irish blood/DNA and an Uncle who was a famous singer in Ireland. I love watching Irish dancing, but I also think its really sad when ppl decide for you that you couldn't possibly or better yet you shouldn't like anything else because you're African American meanwhile other cultures get to explore, travel and indulge. This shouldn't be where we are still trying to break down barriers. What ever someone's heritage they should be able to do what makes them happy!
@ferdienaraval14385 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure you mean Black American
@ferdienaraval14385 ай бұрын
In order for her to be African she has had to be born there with birth certificate that says African. Not trying to argue or start a stir here. Everyone has so many misconceptions about color. Trust me there are a lot of Africans that white people. It's just a table here in America that they can't shake off because of our government. They have to check mark in a box that they are African Americans, but truth be told the majority have never stepped one foot in Africa. This country ( USA) needs to educate people and stop trying to dumb people down.

I love Kaitlyn's thinking. Art made for collaboration and remixing, breaking cultural walls and establishing one's own expression. It's not like every painter has to go out and discover pigmentation to be original. Dance and pigmentation in media is universal, to be shared!

Each generation has had amazing role models. Gregory Hines brought tap to the world. Savion..as a child…danced with Gregory. Kids literally grew up with him on Sesame Street. It’s wonderful that there is a female role model. And, make no mistake…she is going to inspire girls and women ..of every age, of every ethnicity, and of every color.
