To be honest, I would cut that old holder off completely, I don't like the bow on the plate and the fact it's not sitting on a flat surface, yes it works but a few minutes longer with a grinder will see that dropping to where it should be and the bolts would be in the correct holes. You're going to have problems with that in the future I would guess :(

Yeah I will probably cut it off...just didn't really want to hack into old bracket..it's welded on there good....it's very tight and strong..but yes you right would be better on a more flatter area....thanks for your comment

@@muddyandsandy Yeah its a scary thought, but you're going to be touching up the paint anyway, I would just leave the chain hooks and cut everything else off... Looks like a good bit of kit :)

It's a shame that they haven't sorted something so you don't have to grind the old jockey wheel off. I have the same problem and don't think I will be getting one.

Yeah..I didn't really want to do it....but it was the best place....don't really notice it anymore...looks like it's supposed to be there....and it's been great..so much safe r
